This is exactly why APC Chairman Gadaka is unfit to supervise or conduct the Yobe State gubernatorial primary election. A man entrusted with overseeing a supposedly transparent process has already compromised his neutrality by personally submitting the expression of interest form of one of the aspirants. How can aspirants and party members trust the credibility of an election when the umpire has openly taken sides before the contest even begins?

@Alsiddiq_10 This is a welcome development. It shows that the politics of Yobe is changing. In the Long run, no one can sit in his parlor and dictate how things should be done in the state. If this coronation is not managed well, it will be a long legal battle for Yobe APC.

RELEASE MADE BY ALL THE YOBE STATE APC GUBERNATORIAL ASPIRANTS AFTER THEIR MEETING HELD ON THE 7TH OF MAY, 2026. A meeting of the Yobe State APC Gubernatorial Aspirants was held on Thursday the 7th Day of May 2026, to discuss among other matters, issues of common concern in the interest of the people of Yobe State. After exhaustive deliberations the meeting resolved as follows: i. That the purported endorsement of a particular candidate as the APC gubernatorial consensus candidate does not conform with the general requirements and provisions of the Electoral Act 2026 and the APC Constitution and is therefore unacceptable, II. That the relevant provisions of the Electoral Act relating to consensus should be strictly adhered to , to ensure the emergence of an acceptable and credible gubernatorial Candidate of the APC in Yobe State. iii. That failing an agreement on consensus, there should be a free, fair , transparent and credible direct primaries in line with the APC guidelines on direct primaries. iv. That following the continuous apparent partisanship displayed by the Yobe State APC Chairman , it is very clear that the APC chairman is highly compromised and the Aspirants do not have confidence that he is capable of holding or supervising a free, fair, transparent and credible direct primary election. v. That in light of item (iv )above, the Aspirants strongly demand the immediate withdrawal of the Yobe State APC Chairman from all matters relating to the conduct and supervision of the Yobe state primary election. vi. That the Aspirants unreservedly restate their commitment to the national Leadership of APC and their support for the mandate and re election of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR in the 2027 Presidential election.
