@FNBRWatch If you've got a window fan, just have it blowing towards the outside so it blows the hot air out instead of in. If you don't... oof

@Stupercell The UK government make it practically impossible to get it. I live in a “listed building” which means we can’t make any modifications to it without permission (that includes ac as you’re messing with the structure of the building)

Indian Lake EF3 2024. I grew up going to that lake 30 minutes from my home town. Learned how to fish there. My friends own a restaurant there and have so many priceless memories there on the beach and watching fireworks. That was brutal not being there to document and help out friends. That'll be one that haunts me forever missing.

What is a tornado you really regret not being there for?

Every winter storm we have gets named by The Weather Channel. Some ppl hate it, some people don't care, and some ppl like it. The NOAA/NWS (our met office) doesn't name winter storms tho and never will. We also name our tropical systems. Just imagine getting smacked in the face by Hurricane Gerald. Lol

@Stupercell we had a snow storm in 2018 (one of the worst we’ve ever seen) and the met office (our version of whatever ur weather company is called) gave it a rlly catchy name “beast from the east” like bro it’s freezing, people are dying but john! Think of a cool name!!!!

@AdamLucioWX Move it down just a tad bit more and it cores all 3 towns... Well the names on the map lead me to think that anyway

If you move the path of the Chapman, KS tornado just 4.6 miles south, it buzzsaws 3 towns and you have a mega disaster. How lucky all these locations were that day. Hard to believe its been 10 years...the single most impressive tornado of my career.

@FNBRWatch Yea ik the UK isn't supposed to get that hot for sure😂 But hey, now you get to experience the U.S.s' weather! Just without all the severe storms with tornadoes, hurricanes, massive hail, etc etc

@Stupercell yeah, I’m not saying the US doesn’t get hot (ofc it does) but I feel like some ppl don’t get that isn’t normal for us, in may: temperatures should be 15-17 degrees, not 35. our homes can’t handle it. UK humidity is also a bitch which makes it 10x worse than it should be otherwise

@FNBRWatch Fair enough I suppose. The U.S. gets heatwaves that cause temps to go into the 110's for days during tee summer, sometimes even a week

@Stupercell it’s not here in the uk. we’re used to like 10 degrees at night (max) because of the temps we’ve hit during the day and the fact it doesn’t get fully dark here till nearly 11, it doesn’t give our homes chance to cool down so it makes it unbearable

As of May 24, we currently sit at 20 tornado reports over the avg. for where we currently are in the year. Now that a much quieter period is ahead thanks to an Omega Block pattern, we may dip slightly below avg. as we make our way into June.
