We often get asked whether cellfinder & amap can be used with 2D data (confocal, slidescanner etc.)? We want the answer to be yes, so who would be interested in a fully Python, @napari_imaging based GUI tool for semi-automated registration of 2D histology sections to a 3D atlas?

@ekimchi @LoogerL Same. Tried to label cholinergic neurons in the basal forebrain from cortex with AAV-retro, not successful. :(

@LoogerL Unfortunately AAV2-retro did not work well trying to target mouse basal forebrain cholinergic/chat-cre neurons protecting to the amygdala.

3rd in series: Please send successes & failures with retrograde labeling with AAV2-retro & other serotypes. We're screening for 2.0 variants with greater retrograde transport, particularly in tough cell types. Please provide: cells, Cre/straight, titer. Any prep.
