@bphillipsonMP Support staff shouldn’t be waiting up to 9 months for a pay rise. That wouldn’t happen to teachers. Will you agree the NJC pay award and have it ready for 1 April, then ensure staff receive it no later than June? First test for the Department for Education.

Well, my last contracted day has been confirmed and I will be ending my SBM career on ill health grounds. A very sad way to end but it is impossible to continue, given my eyesight complications. Best wishes to all.

Teachers pay - the government is proposing a 2.8% increase for 2025-26 - in evidence that has just gone to the independent pay review body. That follows 5.5% this year. It gives an indication of a tighter spending review - public sector pay offers may be tighter

Ditto! But I am not allowed to challenge that. It’s in the curriculum apparently. Only 2 other primary schools in the borough follow this curriculum. Operationally primary schools cannot manage it. Storage. Thawing. Cleaning. Ooof the smell In classroom as we have no labs!
