Dr. Labos is correct to mention the risks of screening. He admits that technology has improved, but is quoting outdated statistics from old studies. Mortality reduction I women 40-49 in 🇨🇦 in 44%, not 15%. And overdiagnosis is negligible in younger women montrealgazette.com/opinion/column…

The younger the popul’n being screened for breast ca, the LOWER the risk of overdiagnosis. OverDx is rare for women 40-49 with longer lifespans and more aggressive tumours.
All screening carries downsides, but ODx isn’t a big one for young women.

Most women and drs don’t know the breast screening guidelines are made by a panel with a chiropractor, nephrologist, psychologist, etc and exclude breast screening experts. Stats Can figures show these guidelines produced by non experts are resulting in later stage diagnoses.

@kprather88 We had two adults infected in our house. We cracked windows, masked during the child’s waking hours, and alternatively isolated one adult in a room with a CR box. Kiddo never tested positive on repeated rapid test.

Question--has anyone used extra air filtration in their home (HEPA or CR box) after one person has become covid-positive and seen it spread to others? Or has it limited the spread? Anecdotal--so far I have seen filtration (w/ ventilation) make a huge difference.
