Remora and Pilotfish changed the blockchain landscape of what is possible on scaling crypto transactions, but also what many miss is they equip Sui with an amazing DoS (denial of service) protection mechanism. Remora nodes have an extra advantage of being cheap machines in some settings, for instance hard disk might not even be required at all. That allowed for the first time - modern expensive authentication used en mass (zero knowledge logins and large multi-sig), - advanced cryptography or smart contract logic (including complex quantum attack resistance logic) - potentially AI inference at node level (for many uses, at smart contract layer or for live auto-scaling optimization) - novel transaction filtering and deserialization efficiency layers. Sui is built differently, a paradigm for next generation decentralized networks.
