David Uche, the Nigerian pastor with a church in Johannesburg, says he's increasingly annoyed by Phake'lumthakathi and Ngizwe's fluctuating movements while half-naked. He is deeply frustrated by their actions, which he believes demonstrate a lack of intelligence, and he suggests they need to evaluate themselves.

Julius Malema tells the people of North West that Zulus are going to come for them, and for Limpopo, after they are done with Zimbabweans. He says North West is even worse because they will ask them what “elbow” is in Zulu, and if they struggle to pronounce it, they will be beaten. In Limpopo, he adds, they won’t even ask them, saying they are already too dark, so they won’t be given a chance.

Twist our words. Misrepresent our position. Call us whatever names you want. Accuse us of things we have never said. It changes nothing. We will never under any circumstances stand with a xenophobic agenda that turns the poor against the poor while the real architects of poverty, unemployment, inequality and criminality walk free. We know what it means when mobs take the law into their own hands. We have seen it before - the humiliation, the terror, the burning of homes, the destruction of lives in broad daylight while the rule of law collapses. That is not justice. That is a descent into barbarism. We refuse to celebrate that. We refuse to be silent about it. We refuse to normalise it. Our country was not built on hatred. It was built on struggle, on solidarity, on the belief that an injury to one is an injury to all. When we allow violence against the most vulnerable, we are tearing apart the very fabric of our democracy. We will not be part of turning South Africa into a skunk of the world again, a place feared by the world and unsafe for its own people. We will stand, firmly and unapologetically, for humanity, for justice, and for the rule of law, no matter how loudly we are insulted for it. These videos do not represent us - we are ashamed!

SAFTU General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi has criticised recent anti-immigration protests, describing them as a diversion from South Africa’s deeper socio-economic challenges. Vavi argued that the focus on immigration distracts from what he called systemic issues, including economic mismanagement, high unemployment, and what he described as deliberate de-industrialisation of the economy. He acknowledged that some foreign nationals are involved in criminal activity, but stressed that this should not be used to stereotype or criminalise all migrants. Vavi further accused political actors of exploiting immigration concerns for opportunistic gain, warning that such rhetoric fuels division and unrest. He also raised concern that migrants of African descent are being disproportionately targeted, describing this as a troubling development that risks deepening social tensions. His comments come amid ongoing protests and heightened debate over immigration policy and socio-economic conditions in South Africa. @ThisKg #SouthAfrica #SAFTU #ZwelinzimaVavi #SAPO #PostOffice #SOEs #WorkersRights #LabourMovement #PublicSector #EconomicJustice #StateOwnedEnterprises #PretoriaProtest

Ngizwe Mchunu calls Julius Malema a “dead snake.” He says Malema is like a dead snake that will never wake up again, making the remarks in response to the earlier lawsuit. Mchunu added that he would not go to court for Malema, saying if Malema wants him, he should go to Nkandla, his hometown, or come to their marches.

Just like corruption, barbaric violence and mob justice are sustained by impunity. When there are no consequences, these acts reproduce themselves and become normalised. The tragedy is that the authorities often benefit from this climate. It diverts attention away from their failure to confront the deep structural crisis of unemployment, poverty and inequality. Instead of accountability, the anger of the poor is misdirected, turned inward against migrants and other vulnerable groups, while the real sources of the crisis remain untouched
