Serious question: What difference will it make if Trudeau steps down and a new leader is named? The policies won’t change. I really don’t get the popularity contest zeitgeist. Explain it to me like I’m a child.

Protests against Israel’s attacks on Lebanon, Gaza and West Bank are important and necessary. But I’m disgusted with some chants that suggest Israel should not exist. Israel’s war crimes must be condemned but calling for the end of Israel is unacceptable.

My impression of the Canadian political system, as I do a deep dive into it: Conservatives are working much harder than liberals, are more creative in their campaigning and are far more likely to put their money where their mouths are.
