I personally don't care where it's origin is, it's something I've always viewed as a negative term. I've always seen it as a way to put down an older woman and is tied to age more than anything else. What gets me is the fact that many women I've seen within the VTuber community say this proudly, and simply do not think about the negative connotation — often because they've seen other women do it. "Hagmaxxing" is also a tag I've seen people use. I think most people are just so used to being put down in one way or another that degrading themselves for the benefit of an audience is second nature. Putting themselves down for humor is simply a show of low self-esteem, and often linked to how one views themself. In fact, I haven't heard a man in the VTuber community use it and have been perplexed by how many women call themselves it freely or have "hag" as a tag (or sometimes within their title). Others are not really aware and are ignorant of what the term means, or do not give much mind to it. Overall, I'd never use it. But it's often like women calling themselves and their friends, "Bitch". I let women do what they want with words directed negatively towards them and keep it pushing without using it myself.

Mint is a woman in her 30s playing an adult ghost who died at 19yo. Her design is petite, but not childlike. Certainly less childlike than Pomni.

Now for how I feel about it; after this offkai I have decided that I’ve gone from position 3 to position 1 personally and my content will reflect this across the board. This offkai will be the last con I ever attend that anyone will get to know about. Learnt a lot about the current state of vtubers, vtuber fans, and new clarity to how watered down and flippant everything has become. I have some offkai posting I’ll do to round off the season that I’ve planned but it really will be it for me in regards to anything physically irl if it’s not AR based. Any potential handcams too are on pause until I can figure out a better method to input a 3D model over a body. Because none of us were ever supposed to have one. Still wild to me though that some people didn’t expect to find vtubers at a vtuber convention- one famous for being where vtubers network.

The anti-surveillance people are tearing down @Flock cameras. Meanwhile the technology exists to take everyone to the World Cup and let you stand next to the ref yelling at him. And Unity put me on the ball in its labs. Cameras can solve crimes and gather evidence in a much fairer way. @KirscheVerstahl Material's science major. 1) metal has a slight taste, glass does not 2)metal is somewhat permeable where glass is near impermeable. If you left soda in the fridge, the plastic would go flat in a few weeks, the can less than year, the glass about a year or maybe more.
