I have a limited amount of prints of my HOKUM design available! Link in comments. I read an interview with director Damian McCarthy, where he mentions the inspiration for Jack the Jackass was Pinocchio, so it felt fitting to do a design inspired by old Pinocchio posters.

My MOTHER! design for tonight’s screening at Revue Cinema. I rewatched it to make this and it really is such an underrated movie 🔥

POV: you get to your Widow's Bay hotel room and find this visitor guide waiting for you. I made this pamphlet with inspiration from vintage visitor guides and included a nod to 60s series THE PRISONER - which this series has a few parallels with - via the typeface at the bottom!

@SummerRay I read the book 1st and the film doesn't disappoint. Such a great tribute to his parents who he clearly thought the world of. How they met is just 👌 and says a lot about... I'll shut up now!

I watched When the Wind Blows yesterday for the first time (the horrifying 80s animated film about nuclear war) and thought the theme tune by David Bowie sounded familiar. Did Taskmaster take it and speed it up?! Here are the two together

@SummerRay @chriselus I liked it when they did the "Shooting Galllery". Loads of strange wee shorts films. One sticks with me, a demon-under-the-bed type short. Really creepy. Haven't found it since.

@SummerRay Such a powerful film. You can see Briggs' parents in the two protagonists - Ethel and Ernest is on iplayer and is just as moving.
