Whitney Cummings had a lightbulb moment while dating a professional athlete.
She was arguing with him and said something like, “Why would you date me if I’m the kind of challenge you want?”
His blunt reply:
“Why would any man want a challenge in his relationship?”
That hit her hard. She realized she had grown up thinking conflict = passion and that being “feisty” or difficult was somehow attractive. In that moment she saw how exhausting that pattern actually is — especially for someone who already performs at a high level all day.
Chris Williamson added the perfect follow-up: if you’re grinding hard at work or in your sport, the last thing you want when you walk through the door is another fight.
It’s a surprisingly relatable wake-up call about what we mistakenly call “passion” in relationships.
What’s one relationship pattern you used to think was “normal” or even desirable… until you realized it was just exhausting?

Today is the day we all knew was coming
Garga is stepping down (up?) as CEO of Yuga
He stepped in two years ago when all the other founders had already moved on or to board seats
He is married, early 40s and wealthy enough to not work for a while
It seems there has been a major reorg happening within Yuga and their cos
Good to see he will stay on the board for now though

Some news to share: After serving as CEO the past couple years, I’m moving into the role of Chairman of the Board, and @mfigge will become Yuga’s next CEO. Figge is the absolute best person for the job. There’s no one I trust more to lead Yuga through this next chapter. He’s relentless about product quality, he thinks longterm, and he knows how to take a vision and make it real. His work on Otherside the past year is proof of that, and you haven’t seen the half of it. And I’ve loved watching Figge get his hands dirty in the world of BAYC over the last few weeks. The club is better for it. Creative direction, writing, and figuring out insane ideas is still where I do my best work. And with Figge taking over the CEO role, I get to go back to it. I can’t wait for what Yuga builds next.

Seen a lot of Bored Ape chatter on the timeline in the last 48 hours and it made me think about just how good life was the day they minted and the months that followed it.
You just had to be there, everyone had it good and the vibes were immaculate in NFT land. It almost makes me sad when I think about it because it was such a good time!
Everyone was curious and excited, we had no idea the insanity that would follow in the market and the wild run we were about to have.

i feel like my biggest wins in crypto are a direct result of grinding it out thru brutal bear markets even when it felt like the odds were stacked against me
but those periods allowed me to position myself, and with patience those gains turned out to be life changing
i think that playbook can literally be repeated over and over and over again
this time round is different for me because my perspective isn't from trading or investing, but it's from building $REKT.
but i think the same concept will apply...lots of people will give up, leave, disappear, but those who stick around will see something special when the good times return.
these things don't happen overnight, they take weeks and months of perseverance, conviction and quite simply hard work.
