Conservative MP Peter Aldous tells @TimesRadio the Government needs to spend more cash on NHS dentistry as “the system is broken”. Adds that ministers can’t claw back money that isn’t spent quickly and it should be properly invested to improve access.

Electric driving throws up more (literal) twists after I rejected ‘faster’ motorway route as it exceeded range and required a charge stop. So went more direct cross-country route that would get me to my destination without stopping. Slower but, by my warped logic, a win. I think?

@KateEMcCann NCC performed considerably better under Conservative leadership than under the Labour or LibDem. Furthermore, the Conservatives acted apolitically for the benefit of the entire county rather than focussing on political strongholds. Conservatives gaining seats is a consequence.

Some fascinating results in the north east tonight. Conservatives steadily gaining in Sunderland (a trend - 2019 they also gained), Northumberland too. Labour sources suggest two shadow cabinet members thinking about resigning over failures. Usual caveats apply on that one.

The publication of this article exhibits poor editorial judgement and the reason I’ve unfollowed @BusinessInsider on all platforms. That’s such a shame for what is normally a good quality publication @nichcarlson.
