A very sad day locally yesterday, with loss of lives in our estuary and sea. My heart goes out to the families who have tragically lost loved ones. Thank you for all those who have helped others on this difficult day for our local community.

... and today all but essential travel to Italy cancelled, so by taking the responsible decision on Friday, we’ve lost a lot of money! @LV_com @FCOtravel

So, last Friday I reluctantly cancelled my ski trip to Italy. Sorry says LV, the FCO advice doesn’t include that area as a risk, so by being sensible I lose all the money. Today I’m told the ski lifts will close on Wednesday and transport home uncertain!

It was very kind of @BudeCleanerSeas to send us their sustainable, reusable cups. Each year over 100 billion single-use cups are thrown into landfill. The PM has made it a government priority to do all we can to stop this. What will you do to cut down avoidable plastic waste?
