Perry was discovered lying face down in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. An autopsy report found that Perry died from the "acute effects of ketamine." Sangha reportedly admitted to selling 51 vials ​of ketamine to a go-between dealer, Erik Fleming, who then sold them to ​Perry's personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa. Iwamasa later injected Perry with at least three shots of ketamine. Fleming, Iwamasa, as well as two medical doctors, were charged in the case. Sangha received the harshest penalty, according to Reuters.
