Claire Lai shared that her father remains steadfast in his faith despite being imprisoned under Hong Kong’s national security law. Arrested in 2020 and now sentenced to 20 years in prison at age 78, he endures solitary confinement and declining health but continues to unite his suffering with Christ’s. Claire expressed gratitude for the support their family has received in the U.S., hoping that with God’s help and American advocacy, her father will be freed. She closed by recalling her father’s belief that “suffering is also grace,” leading us to the foot of the Cross.
