Site visits are easily the highlight of my week! There’s nothing like bringing our Board into the heart of our schools to see strategic initiatives transform into real-world success. Watching our students own their learning is what it’s all about!

Excited to partner with nLight, a leader in laser production across the world. Mentorship opportunities will lead into internships and job opportunities for Camas students now, and into the future.

The point here isn’t whether you personally knew about the civil case, it’s the double standard. Darlin is attacked for being promoted while litigation is pending. Yet you were promoted under Jara while a lawsuit that ultimately cost CCSD a 7-figure settlement was still active, and some even floated you as a candidate for superintendent. The inconsistency in how these situations are judged is exactly the issue! Maybe they need to stop the attacking?

This tragedy was a gut punch to RHS. I was there that day and can say Delgado showed great leadership thoughout this crisis. Had the incident taken place on campus-instead of off-I believe wholeheartedly that Jonathan would be alive today. Schools are the safest place for kids.

Not to mention, I had no idea the families were civilly suing until well after I became a superintendent.

Allergic to common sense? No, I’m allergic to cover-ups. Let’s talk facts: Under Anzalone’s watch at Sierra Vista, parents begged him to act while a special ed student was being abused in the classroom (2017–2019). He did nothing. Cronin was arrested in 2019, convicted in 2020, yet Anzalone was promoted in 2021. Then he bailed to Camas right before the lawsuit hit CCSD, which later settled for 7 figures. That’s not leadership, that’s running from accountability. If calling out that truth makes me a ‘bully,’ then so be it. Better a bully than a coward who defends the indefensible!

It’s been an honor to collaborate with these supportive parents, each of whom has served our community on the Citizens Advisory for 3 years. Unfortunately, they must transition due to Board policy. I look forward to welcoming new members next year to continue making a difference.

Secondary students from across our district gathered for a full-day conference designed by students, for students. This event provided opportunities for collaboration & play, highlighting the diverse backgrounds, leadership skills, & unique talents that enrich our schools.

A top priority for us in Camas is ensuring our youngest learners have robust pre-K programming. Having the opportunity to spend some time with these brilliant littles is, by far, one of the best parts of the job. #wearecamas

Today’s Student Leadership Conference brought teens from several Camas secondary schools together to focus on Powerful Moments. Teaching our kids to be present and truly capture every precious moment, is critical. Reminds me to try to do the same. #wearecamas

What a fantastic week in Camas! Starting with inspiring school visits, then celebrated our PBL campus for winning a National STEM award. To top it all off, an exciting girls' basketball game against our cross-town rivals. I love how the community comes together to show support.
