the offense is capped whenever Hurts only wants to do what he's comfortable with (gun-heavy, pick a side reads, no motion) and ebbs and flows with the run game and OL play. The passing game has been incredibly simplistic, even when it was rolling, and has only worked when the Eagles have personnel advantages (which has been often because of their roster). Coaches can try to run different pass concepts, but it doesn't matter if the routes aren't thrown or even looked at. There's a reason zone coverages have been a kryptonite. It requires consistent timing and it doesn't just become iso ball on the outside for Hurts to throw Go balls and Stop routes to Brown and Smith over and over.
