If you haven’t seen it yet, this is Surrey’s new blanket policy on 16+ transport. Offer money (that doesn’t even come close to meeting the costs of transport) and if they don’t like it they will all have to appeal. #sendcrisis #ehcp #specialneeds

@NiallClark5 My daughter lost one of her friendship group last October. Today would have been her friends’ 16th Birthday. All you can do is be prepared for when the children need you. My daughter’s school provided a group therapist for them and lots of support. Sorry for your loss.

Interesting that they state Caseworkers must have a good knowledge of SEN law. Mine is clueless 🤦🏼‍♀️

I don't. I don't know any parent-carer who does. I think they should. I think that's more important.

For the love of all that is holy if you have a cough or a temperature or feel a bit fluey and short of breath GET A COVID TEST. No, not a lateral flow. I have had to say this to 80% of my patients today. They all seemed surprised. We are doomed. 😭🤦‍♀️

@Angelmouse72 Yes but ‘undiagnosed’ is not the issue. No child needs a diagnosis to have any kind of additional need recognised, addressed or met. No professional in education who is in the right job should NEED 2 be told this. It is about unrecognised, unaddressed, unmet needs.

I was stopped by a lone police officer on the A3 once. For speeding. (I probably was.) He tried to make me get out of the car, I wouldn't, and took my licence. He came back, threw it in my face and told me to get out of the car. I refused again and he said, 'See you in court'.
