Good questions to ask whenever you see a survey: 1. Who is it from? 2. Have they asked the right questions? 3. Have they asked the right people? 4. Have they asked enough people? 5. How certain is the top line?

@_Reason_Why We often use: Male (incl transgender men) Female (incl transgender women) Prefer not to say Other - and allow self description here - based on the choices for the upcoming census. Many of our clients use 'Prefer to self describe' - but again as an 'other' choice allowing an input

Gender question in surveys. I've tended to use: Female/Male/Something else/Prefer not to say. With "something else" taking the place of an almost certainly incomplete list. Any other suggestions? Stonewall's is "Prefer to self-describe" which I'm not sure is better.

1,700 people answered a survey that asked them to attach probabilities to 23 common words and phrases. The results are summarized in the figure. There’s a real possibility that it’s is the most interesting chart you’ll see this week. hbr.org/2018/07/if-you…

Incredibly important - this comes up time and time again in the employee engagement surveys and analysis we do. Give people a ‘why’ and a ‘line of sight’ from their work to that why. #IoicLive18 twitter.com/commsjanfitz/s…

A small but significant change in SuryeyOptic: We’ve added the ability to flag questions that collect PII, easing survey #GDPR compliance.
