Wandsworth- traders have to provide proof of the job (an estimate), usually takes 1 day to be approved... then it's £10.10 a day and NO notice, you buy them online & they're instant. @lambeth_council are trying to destroy us

Trader parking permits are now over £30 a day and require a 10 day notice. Plus, you have to provide the letter headed paper to be granted to pay £30 a day! (Details below). So a 3 month extension will cost ~ £2km per vehicle - and anyone who has done work knows that different trades are required for each part of the job - how the hell do you manage that? 1) at what point do they think people pay £30 rather than £11 a day for a car permit? 2) at what point do they think it is their right to see work (pay) details on headed paper? 3) at what point does it take 10 working days to approve (2 weeks)? 4) how does this policy work with real life? How do you have an emergency vehicle when @lambeth_council can’t approve it for 10 working days? “Oh I have a flood but I can’t get a permit for an emergency vehicle to park”. 5) are any decision makers at @lambeth_council living in the real world? I know your own local housing is a shambles, but let residents look after their own property and not let it fall into disrepair like your own. 6) should you all be sacked and stop wasting our money on closing roads and parklets? Yes! 7) back off residents paying you £thousands per year for nothing!

Everyone should also read June’s story. Lambeth Council ought to feel ashamed of itself for treating the disabled like this.
