Just watched the highlights of #CSKvsMI and what a game! Great additions - Ramakrishna, Urvil and Kartik. Such an explosive effort from csk in a long while. Hope Thala #Dhoni gives a darisanam this season !

Turns out, getting 100g of protein daily costs about ₹10–12k a month. Fitness isn’t cheap, even when it’s home-cooked 😭

there is a version of yourself that must die tonight. the one who waits, the one who doubts, the one who starts, then stops. the one who dreams, but does nothing about it. that version of you has been given too much time, too much comfort, and too much power. and if you do not destroy him tonight, he will destroy everything you came here to become. you know him well. he makes promises, then breaks them. he speaks of greatness but lives in hesitation. he fears criticism, blames the world, and explains failure. he walks in the costume of potential but has never once stepped into it. he has robbed you of years, maybe decades. he has wasted opportunities, silenced your will, turned you into a coward, and invited fear into your house. and tonight, he dies. not by chance but by decision.

This one page Notion portfolio has helped 12+ devs land jobs without referrals or fancy resumes. Today, I’m giving it away. It’s not just a template. It’s a high signal, recruiter-friendly doc that shows what you’ve built and how you think. Here’s why it works: - Designed for fast skimming. One page. Zero fluff. - Includes ChatGPT prompts to help you write with clarity. - Shows your projects and your decision-making process. - Adds product-thinking sections most dev portfolios miss (this is the era of product-first devs). - Built to stand out even if you don’t have a CS degree or job history. If you’re job hunting and want a portfolio that actually gets callbacks, drop a “yes” in the comments and I’ll send it over to you. Let’s get you hired. 🙌🏻

Lost my dad a few days ago. No amount of preparation can ever prepare you for something like this. He was a fantastic human being who fought fiercely and defied every statistic cancer threw at him. He shaped modern consumer behaviour and transformed organised retail in India, touching countless lives through his humility, integrity, and unwavering work ethic. All I can hope for now is to live up to even a fraction of the remarkable person he was as a professional, a mentor, and above all, as a human being.

Compelled by those atrocious Parle Marie ads, I wrote a tiny browser extension to auto mute certain IPL ads on Hotstar. It actually works really well and also mutes Vimal, Kamla Pasand, My11, Pokerbaazi etc ads out of the box. (link below)

I'm super excited to announce that @shoffr_in is now available in Delhi NCR! 🥳 We're launching today with a brand new fleet of swanky BYD e-MAX7 cars and the same gold standard that folks love in Bangalore - polite drivers, great service, and human customer support. Similar to Bangalore, in Delhi also you can book your Shoffr for airport transfers, city/hourly rentals, and outstation trips (we've already done few trips to Agra, Jaipur, Meerut, and even Prayagraj). You can do so via shoffr.in or via the iOS / Android app - only catch is that I'd recommend you pre-book 4-5 hours in advance.. Both as a business and for me personally as founder, Shoffr's expansion to Delhi NCR is a huge milestone! We had launched in Bangalore without a website, taking bookings via WhatsApp.. To think that today we've grown to 120+ cars and now 2 cities in less than 2.5 years - it's mind blowing for me and not an outcome I had imagined when starting Shoffr! 🤯 None of this would've been possible without your love and support, and I can't thank you enough for believing in us and giving us a chance 🙏🏼 Please help spread the word to anyone you know in Delhi NCR who would enjoy the Shoffr experience - and we'll take care of the rest ❤️

There's a shocking fact about AI that nobody tells you: You can catch up to the public AI research frontier in just 2 weeks. Yes, really. I've built a $150M annual revenue startup over the last 8 years and If I were to start a company today, I’d drop everything and go all-in on AI. But like many busy software builders, I felt lost—overwhelmed by the noisy, crowded and fast-moving modern AI landscape. And I wasn’t alone. So I spent my entire holiday diving deep into AI research—reading 30+ papers, watching hours of lectures, analyzing trends, and catching up to the research frontier. ✨ Here’s what I learned: - You don’t need months (or years) to catch up. - You don’t need a PhD or decades of ML experience. - You need fewer than 20 papers and 2 weeks to understand the major breakthroughs shaping AI today. It's because the technology is extremely nascent and most techniques that came before are no longer relevant: - ChatGPT is barely 2 years old and Transformers are only 7 years old. - Most game-changing discoveries happened within the last 4 years, driven by a few breakthrough ideas, scaling laws, and efficient matrix multiplication. The biggest secret? Many groundbreaking AI papers with thousands of citations are surprisingly simple and applied, like adding "let's think step by step" to the prompt, or simply asking the LLM over and over again to improve its answer (Self-Refine). I realized there are tons of founders and builders in the same boat—wanting to dive deeper into AI but unsure where to start. I've created an essential AI Guide that helped me catch up, in just 2 weeks, to the frontier of public AI research to figure out where the next opportunities and gaps were: - Curated list of only the most important papers - Simple explanations of key concepts - Clear pathway to understanding the frontier of modern AI It’s perfect for: - Founders expanding into AI - Builders wanting to innovate at the frontier of AI - Investors looking to separate the signal from the noise 👇 Want the full guide? - Like and Share this post - Comment "AI Guide" - I'll send you the complete guide (ps, I’m also teaming up with @VishalVasishth, co-founder of @obviousvc with @ev (focused on large-scale societal impact companies like Twitter, Medium, Beyond Meat), to host a small meetup to discuss what's working and needs to be solved in the AI stack in SF. Message me if you're interested)

Fucking fantastic year. I started a business. Built a beautiful system to power it. Cleared as much as I did in my last job (not bad for year 1). Got great clients and lots of grateful job seekers. Placed 26 people for a combined annual cash comp of > 13 cr. Didn’t miss a day of yoga. Went up to 80 suryanamaskars and feeling like a new human being. Wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say this has been the best year of my life. I feel at home in a way I’ve never felt. Onwards!

Here are my top 5 takeaways from this experience: > This is an employer's market - unlike the employee's market during COVID. It means that most companies are hiring for several positions, however, they are looking to hire the best candidate with the exact set of skills overlapping with the role. The slightest deviation could mean they will move on with another candidate. > DSA + System Design is NOT enough. You need to know a whole host of other things, including (but not limited to) OOPS, systems, networking, browser interactions, HTTP attacks, React fundamentals - and anything specific to the role that you're interviewing for. > You need to take all the rounds seriously. Companies are looking to hire candidates who perform well across all hiring rounds. Take it with a pinch of salt. It is what it is. > The process is mentally frustrating and physically exhausting. Having a constant support system is the bare necessity to survive this through. I am thankful that God gave me understanding family and friends who supported me all through the way. > Be humble and work hard. This job hunt broke all my previous notions of how the job market would look like and it was an exercise in self-realization and humility. I learned that I should not underestimate the enormity of any opportunity. There is no substitute for hard work. Why am I writing this post? So often people post their achievements on this app that we forget that behind all the success lies a lot of hard work and endless rejections. This post is a resume of failures of sorts - as opposed to a resume of my achievements and honors. It's important that I share my experience so that others who are also going through it can relate to it and find strength in that. My DMs are open for anybody who wants to know more about how I prepared for the job hunt, received multiple interview invites, what went right and what didn't. (14/14) Peace out ✌️

In 2024, I interviewed at Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Uber, Adobe, Twitter, American Express, a few YC startups, an AI Safety Fellowship, and a Bengaluru startup. I am sharing my 5 key takeaways from this experience - but before that, I am sharing how I navigated a very tricky tech job market. This job hunt challenged my notions of tech hiring after the ups and downs of the post-COVID industry slump. I went in thinking that hiring would be different, that it would still be employee-centric. That didn't turn out to be true. The job market is NOT the same as it looks like from the outside and most people don't know how to navigate it. This is gonna be a long 🧵. Stay till the end and I hope you will take away something from my personal learning experience (1/n)
