carolinevoaden.com/post/watch-my-… “I shared the experiences of two of my constituents, Susan and Caroline, whose lives have been devastated by mesh complications, medical denial, and a system that has repeatedly failed them. Their stories are not isolated - thousands of women across the UK are living with chronic pain, organ damage, financial ruin and profound trauma because of mesh implants. And families affected by sodium valproate exposure continue to struggle without the support they urgently need” Caroline Voaden MP

@ArturNadol7566 I live near a fishing harbour part of SWW district - the sea has been very still the past few days and there are some large brown patches spreading I’ve never seen before

SOUTH WEST WATER TURNS DEVON INTO A TOILET 37 years after privatisation, the great British seaside now comes with a swim, a rash, and a small prayer that the dog does not come back glowing. Last year there were nearly 15,000 illegal sewage spills on dry days across England, with @SouthWestWater managing more than 4,300 of them on its own. Quite the achievement. Some firms build legacies. These lot build faecal weather systems. Then comes the usual corporate lullaby about “investment” and “improvement”, which is always touching from companies that have treated rivers and beaches like a giant open sewer. @Channel4 "Dirty Business" barely needed dramatisation. It simply reported the old British tradition of regulators napping, executives cashing in, and the public being used as unpaid test strips for human waste. The series is based on real whistleblowers, campaigners and victims, including Heather Preen, the eight-year-old who died after contracting E. coli linked to contaminated seawater in Devon. At this point, fines are not punishment. They are just a subscription fee for poisoning the coast. Prison is the only deterrent left, because shame clearly floated out to sea years ago. Source: The Sunday Times, March 22, 2026, Chris Haslam, @dromomaniac “Water companies are ruining our seaside: prison is the only deterrent”. @TransparencyTF

This should alarm every consumer in the UK. FOS @financialombuds has now admitted that some complaints which would once have been taken on may now be dismissed before they are even heard!

🚨 #mesh injured women were #gaslit over their injuries for years - 🚨shockingly their care was compromised as the medical profession used its powers to conceal the #harm caused by these disgusting devices 😓I have spent many hours listening to their screams down the phone because no one would believe them - the sound so blood curdling my mother could hear it and would break down in tears When finally the ‘system’ started to listen that medical concealement went against them during compensation claims and solicitors just spouted the Limitation Act - not wanting to see that the law regards concealement as fraud and should stop the clock ⏰ 🚨Key opinion leaders (KOL) used their “expert shield” to muddy the waters because no one wanted to speak against them 🚨thousands of claims dropped 🚨thousands paid peanuts and told not to talk about it again 🚨Then you get this ‘deplorable #mesh implant #solicitor’ - as he was shut down the cases were dumped leaving these poor women with no where to turn legally Every step of the way this #plastic #mesh rubbish has been protected @lawsocgazette The #mesh #medicaldevices is a #scandal at every level

If one surgeon gets away scot free with denying a patient informed consent and causing needless life altering harm, what's going to deter the next? If a GP perscribes a drug that he knows has injured others, but he gets away with failing to warn the patient of the known risk. What's going to deter the next GP? A rapist escapes jail because he's a young man in his 20's and it was just a 'mistake' and well, we don't want to ruin HIS future. The victim is left traumatised, yet he just gets a slap on the wrist and a fine. What's going to deter the next monster? A leader is quietly removed from a company for bullying and harrassment, his victim made to sign an NDA to protect 'all parties' and of course the company reputation. The victim suffers in silence and the abuser joins another company where his bullying begins another toxic cycle. Where was the punishment to deter the same damaging behaviour? A pregnant postmaster is put in jail for a crime she didn't commit and both the lawyers and company knew she was innocent. Years later numerous victims are still awaiting compensation? Those who abused their power still walking free. What's going to deter the next company from acting in the same deplorable manner? And the cycle repeats and repeats and repeats. When will justice mean justice, when will the law be enforced and victims protected? @MoJGovUK

Everyone now knows that plastic is toxic to all living beings. I will never understand how Mesh is bio-compatible in a human body. It is not inert, it degrades and no matter how it is biochemically engineered it will always be a piece of toxic plastic.

Many women harmed by mesh feel that who they are now is not who they were. Mesh was not only life changing, it was life destroying. Recovery is rare. Misery 4Life.

TWENTY YEARS LATER AND CLED JONES IS STILL QUEUING FOR JUSTICE Britain’s most efficient machine remains the one that destroys a life, then asks you to fill in seventeen forms to prove you’re upset about it. Cled Jones, 73, ran the post office in Bethel near Caernarfon and says Horizon’s fantasy accounting forced him to hand over more than £43,000 of his own money just to avoid prison. He first spotted problems in 2006. The branch shut more than six years ago. He is still waiting. Because in modern Britain, when the state ruins you with defective software, the real punishment begins after everyone admits you were right. His wife Susan says they feel like they no longer count. Hard to argue. MPs have just warned of “serious structural failings” in the redress schemes, while the Post Office boasts that 87% of eligible Horizon Shortfall Scheme claims have received offers and £882m has been paid under that scheme. Which is lovely, unless you’re in the remaining pile of human wreckage still being asked the same question in slightly different bureaucratic dialect. The country can invent a scandal in minutes. An apology apparently needs a geological era. Source: BBC Wales, Mar 21, 2026

lawgazette.co.uk/news/deplorabl… This shyster of Fortitude Law used spiv tactics to lure in mesh injured clients He may have been shut down but he should be jailed for the fraud and distress - Further to harrowing injuries he ruined my claim and the rest of solicitors won’t reinstate claims now because of the Limitation Act - semantics at its worst #meh injured patients have suffered so much deceit on so many levels the Limitation Act must be abolished, something my colleague and I documented to IMMDS in 2019. Patients were injured by mesh in the most hideous and catastrophic ways - then the solicitor put the knife full in! Despicable behaviour further ruining the lives of vulnerable patients - All we have left is the hope of #redress but that will not replace a proper compensation pay out #meshcampaigns @sra_solicitors @DHSCgovuk @ShaunLintern @AvMAuk @PSCommissioner @CarolineVoaden @SarahGreenLD

Under the government's proposals, not one of the 900 wrongly convicted subpostmasters would have had a right to trial by jury. The Prime Minister himself concluded in a report that the scrapping of jury trials led to miscarriages of justice in Northern Ireland in the 1990s. The right to trial by jury must be protected. #JusticeNeedsJuries

Financial Ombudsman Service @financialombuds was already operating on something close to a zero trust score. What happened this week did not just confirm that. It made it worse. On 16 March, at the APPG summit, serious voices raised serious concerns. Systemic failure. Weak accountability. A redress system that no longer commands public confidence. Those warnings were on record. That same day, @hmtreasury announced the most significant overhaul of FOS since the service was created. The language was reassuring. Faster. More predictable. More closely aligned with the @TheFCA Read that last part again. More closely aligned with the regulator. Not with consumers. With the regulator that already failed them. Then came 18 March. FOS leadership appeared before the @CommonsTreasury Committee. Under direct questioning from MPs, they confirmed it. Some complaints that would previously have been taken forward will now be dismissed. Not investigated. Not heard. Dismissed. Screened out before the consumer ever gets a fair shot at redress. Think about what that means in practice. Someone has already been failed by their bank, their lender, their insurer. They have already fought for months to get to FOS. They arrive at the last door available to them. Under these reforms, that door gets narrower. For some people, it will be shut. This is deliberate. They defended a reform package that trades consumer access for institutional convenience. They did it in public. On the record. FOS was created as an independent check on financial services power. What is being built now is something else entirely. An institution pulled closer to the FCA, stripped of the friction that made it useful to ordinary people, and restructured in a way that benefits the firms it was supposed to hold to account. The people who will never know their complaint was screened out will not be writing about it. They will not appear before a committee. They will not get a letter explaining what they lost. They will simply be gone from the system. Quietly. Without record. This is why Gary Smith's @G8GWS judicial review work is critical. This is why it has to be supported. What is happening here is not reform. It is the managed removal of consumer access to redress. The warnings were heard on 16 March. The reforms were announced on 16 March. The defence of those reforms came on 18 March. Three days. Start to finish. This has to be stopped.
