Edmonton's last new all ages hospital opened in 1988, when the city's population was 580k.
An @EZMSA2 survey found 1 in 4 recent hospital patients was treated in a hallway, etc as a canceled hospital and delayed action have pushed system to the brink.

@TheRealDKGray I hate them too, judgemental morons who you owe nothing to.

For the fiftieth time in my career,
“You can’t call yourself an economist. You don’t have a PhD.”
It’s true. I have a BA in economics, and two business masters degrees.
But, I did all the typical post grad maths in undergrad. Linear programming was a favourite. Sadly underutilized as a talent. Writing proofs in linear algebra of BLUE remains entirely useless.
I’ve spent a career multiplying matrices, squashing variances, deseasonalizing and testing dummy variables.
I’ve done spectral analysis on years worth of customer data, forecast economic data out 50 years, and worked with a Cray Supercomputer in 1988. I saved our company’s regulatory ass by writing an algorithm to calculate revenue lag days for all customers.
Through my career, I’ve done every type of engineering and regulatory economics related to electric and gas utilities.
The natural gas rate I helped devise while at the AEUB is still in use. See Decision 2001-75.
At the Utilities Consumer Advocate, I did less hands on economics and more strategic direction of teams of lawyers, regulatory accountants, engineers, economists and expert witnesses.
And do you know who never questioned my qualifications as an economist?
Any of the people that I worked for, with or over.
If you can’t tell, I’m not a big fan of pedantic morons.

@cspotweet SHE & UCP are promoting separation and still believes Ottawa will work WITH her ? She must pick her lane separation or TOGETHER with Canada.
She has never tried working WITH others for what is best for Alberta & Canada. She & UCP are now working with separatists for referendum?

@cspotweet Residents of Edmonton Strathcona have to wait 6 months for a byelection, but Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills will have one ASAP. No partisan shenanigans whatsoever.

@BradenMannsYYC They like silos. 🙄
We just got rid of all the silos and finally had a more cohesive system.
