Perspective from an old lady (me) lol: Younger me: Drugs will set me free. Older me: Drugs took everything from me. Younger me: I can't wait to retire. 2 years after retirement: Now what. lol By the grace of God, I stopped using drugs and lived long enough to retire. I've seen firsthand so much despair in the world, but I know there's hope. We must never give up hope.

@cwebbonline I might have thought what he said was cold hearted before I was homeless and before I worked in a trtmt facility. Everything he said is 100%. There's a few exceptions - ppl lose a job, but for the most part, ppl I knew chose being homeless bc they wanted to keep getting high.

The level of disdain Spencer Pratt has for the unhoused is disgusting. And if you’re fine with this kind of talk, I don’t want to know you. Josh Haskell: “What are your plans for the over 40,000 homeless people in Los Angeles?” Spencer Pratt: “Well, they’re not homeless. They’re drug addicts. Most of these people are addicted to fentanyl and meth… They are choosing to be on the streets because they want to do drugs. They don’t want rules. They don’t want to listen. They want to have animals to abuse.”

So let’s get something straight about the unhoused: California is expected to carry a massive share of America’s homelessness crisis, then gets mocked for struggling under the weight of a problem that clearly extends far beyond Los Angeles. 📌 According to this report, only 36% of L.A.’s street homeless population is originally from the City of Los Angeles itself. Another 38% came from other states. Meanwhile, politicians across the country slash housing, healthcare, and mental health funding, then point at California and scream “failed blue city.” This is not just an LA problem. It’s a national crisis.

🚨The Minnesota fraud empire is falling: Yesterday 15 fraudsters were charged and $90 million was busted. The MSM tried to cover for the fraudsters. @GovTimWalz called it "white supremacy" to expose it and @IlhanMN is completely SILENT. Independent journalism defeated an entire fraud network upheld by billions of dollars with support from corrupt politicians who allowed this fraud and the MSM who failed to report it. Major win for America and hardworking law-abiding taxpaying citizens. This is just the beginning. Arrest them all.

@Twolfrecovery I was in Santa Ana & Garden Grove. There was a time my daughter didn't allow me in her home or see my grands for nearly a year. Now I live w her & her family & take care of my 2 younger grands. We do recover.

@1True_American_ Yes. I was a ppl pleaser for much of my adult life but didn't realize it. It was exhausting. Then at church our pastor said "Don't confuse the command to love with the disease to please" a quote by Lysa TerKeurst. Those few words helped me immeasurably.

My husband lost his mother yesterday. Faith Davis was a wonderful woman, and the best MIL a wife could ask for. She taught me everything I know about motherhood and keeping a home. She taught me grace and patience. She was so full of joy and she loved the Lord with a childlike faith that inspired everyone around her. She is the woman I aspire to be. I will miss you, Mom. Thank you for loving me and our family. Your legacy is firmly imprinted on the hearts of my children...and mine. God has been so good to us. I will see you later. See you THERE.

Dear Jesus, I just pray for California today. I pray for this election more than any other right now. You know we are at a real precipice. We are drowning and desperate in so many ways. Please intervene Lord. Please bless us with leadership that’ll hear us and most importantly hear You. I pray that Californians understand how critical this is and make the effort to vote. @elonmusk I like that Spencer understands that it's not a one size fits all. Send the homeless that are not from California back to their home state. Put the criminal homeless in jail. Attempt to rehabilitate those who are willing. As a recovering addict I can state that he's 100% correct.

Throwback to when we were so privileged we got to build our own bookshelves with cinder blocks and planks This thing was peak home decor. Sturdy enough to double as a bomb shelter, cute enough for the teacups and plant to vibe. Modern kids will never understand the satisfaction of not spending $300 on something that falls apart in six months.

@mitchellvii As a young teen I was hiking in the mountains & climbed out onto a tree that was growing horizontally from the mountain. I wasn't afraid of heights, but I froze bc I was afraid if I moved it would snap off. I inched backward slowly to get down & then acted as tho it was awesome.

If my mom knew about half the crazy stuff I did when I was a kid, she never would have let me leave the house. It's honestly a miracle I survived. I once climbed a 100 ft tree that was dead and used the broken off branches as a ladder. What was your craziest adventure?
