A new salon opened near my place. Since it’s just a short walk away, I decided to try it out today. It’s run by a 24-year-old who moved here from another state. He spent the last 5 years learning barbering and has now started his own small shop. For the setup, 25% came from his savings, 25% from family support, and the remaining 50% is a hand loan. He now has a team of 3, all working extremely hard, they open at 7 AM and go on till 11 PM. He said ‘Evenings business kaafi acha chal raha hai’. He recently installed AC to attract more customers in the mornings too. He’s aiming to clear the hand loan within 12–16 months. Really impressive to see someone take that kind of risk and back it with consistent effort. There’s no substitute for hard work and showing up every single day. 👍
