NO. Hope that helps, sincerely, a graduate, activist, and person with lived experience who has been waiting for a diagnosis for 39 years.

Most autistic people are just getting on with life with the realisation of “Ah, ok, that’s why”. Just quietly plodding on trying to carve a life that works for them, with no additional money, medication, or services.

32 experts from across the UK have published a detailed scientific paper this morning concluding there is “no evidence that ADHD is over-diagnosed in the UK”. No doubt all the Westminster career politicians who insisted recently that it is (without providing any evidence whatsoever) will now be issuing apologies….

100 yrs ago soviet psychiatrist, Dr. G. Sukhareva defined autism and the spectrum for the first time AND began diagnosing and categorising it's presentation in girls. Her work has been available for years. Autistic experts on autism like me could have told you this @tes @unherd.

Been looking into this Motability stuff. If someone gets PIP and gets a VW Polo it costs £280 per month. If they drive a Mercedes it also costs £280 per month. The difference is made up by the disabled person.
