Later that morning -- Kohberger went back to the murder house around 9am. Was there for ten minutes. And then returned back to his apartment in Pullman. Then he took the selfie of himself with the thumbs up in his bathroom.

Dr. Katherine Ramsland says looking back, some of the things that interested Bryan Kohberger now give her pause. She says he wanted to study offenders and what their thought process was. She wonders “Did I inspire him in some way?”

@BrianEntin Bryan is getting exactly what he wanted - to live and revel in the infamy of being a famous killer just like the ones he idolized. I feel awful that the families were blindsided with this news.

Goncalves family says they are "beyond furious at the state of Idaho" and that the Bryan Kohberger plea deal was "unexpected."

The National Weather Service in Louisville has no plans to go out and confirm tornadoes today. We were told last night this is because of recent staffing cuts. They will still attempt to confirm tornadoes from media pictures.

@Zina10 @gmfinancial Yes! it's been a whole week now. They better waive any late fees and not report payments as late to credit bureaus. It's absurd for a major company's site to be inaccessible for this long.

Unfortunately, due to limited staff availability, we will have to cancel our student volunteer program for 2025 and suspend new arrangements for prospective meteorology students to shadow at our office until further notice. We are very sorry for these developments!

My heart breaks for those meteorologists that lost their jobs today at the National Weather Service. It’s unfortunately a preview of things to come. The National Weather Service is already understaffed as it is. They’re crucial for life saving information. This is a dark day.

My heart breaks for my friends affected by this atrocity. I’m so sad and angry.

Long time followers here know that I don’t do politics, and there’s no political content on this account. I vote; and that’s it. The world does not need another social media nitwit telling people how to think and vote.  This post is not about politics, but about support for my friends that work for the National Weather Service, part of NOAA, a federal agency. NWS meteorologists work long, hard hours serving the people of this country, not only during times of severe weather, but on the routine days as well. Their surface and upper air observation networks along with computer models, radars, and satellites are critical for all meteorologists, including those of us in the private sector.  Most NWS field offices are currently understaffed right now. I can only imagine morale is not especially high.  Many high-level politicians follow this page, both Democrats and Republicans. I would encourage them and all of you to support my colleagues at the National Weather Service during this time. Their service is absolutely invaluable.  If NWS products and services are reduced, we all suffer…especially during times of life-threatening weather. 

Temperatures will warm steadily over the next few days with 50s looking to return to parts of the area as early as Monday. No rain or snow is expected over the weekend. #ILwx #INwx
