An important element that gets overlooked when it comes to Caleb Williams completion percentage is that he leads the league in throwaways (43). 7.5% of his attempts are throwaways.

He was an outstanding hitter who played through a lot of pain. He was really fast as a Dodger and injured his ankle severely and never fully recovered. Otherwise he probably would have had over 3000 hits and a much higher BA.

Not enough people talk about Bill Buckner • 2715 hits, 721 XBH, 1208 RBI, .289 BA • All-Star, 1980 NL Batting Champion • 5 years with MVP votes (2x top 10) • Never had a 40-strikeout season • Never had a 3-strikeout game • Had 200 hits 2x, 100 RBI 3x • Led league in doubles twice • Stole 31 bases (!!!) in 1974 • Just 453 K in 2715 games • Was the Dodgers left fielder perched atop the wall as Hank Aaron #715 sailed over his head into the bullpen • Among players with at least 10,000 PA, Buckner is 5th all time in Clutch, surrounded entirely by HOF'ers and Pete Rose; the only other non-HOF'er in the top 20 is the underrated Bobby Abreu at 19th • In the Divisional Era (1969-present), Buckner has the second-most seasons with at least 100 RBI and fewer than 40 strikeouts, trailing only Don Mattingly
