She walks through every room pointing things out: the blankets were used, the towels were taken down, the bottled waters are gone, the coffee was opened, and the trash was left inside the trash can. Then she zeroes in on the bathroom. She says she leaves two full rolls of toilet paper for a two night stay and claims they’re “always gone,” questioning how two adults could possibly go through that much in 48 hours. Two adults. Two nights. Two rolls. She also admits she’s scared to leave guest reviews first because she thinks they might “retaliate” with a four-star rating. It’s like a waiters trick to get a little bonus and they know it’s so hard for you to get your money back 😤

I went to have dinner with my kids at @Mugg_and_Bean Gateway Umhlanga on the 24th of December 2025. Our waiter was a young man called Njabulo who gave us 5 star service, upon paying my bill, they had an issue with their POS machine, i tapped my card twice with no success while at our table, was asked to go downstairs to try the POS machine at pay point, which i had no problem doing, i tipped the waiter cash and proceeded to go and settle the bill downstairs. After 3 tries, the payment went through, they had a system which is normal. On the 29th of Dec while i was going through my @CapitecBankSA banking app i noticed that i was double billed. I then immediately contacted the outlet and asked for a manager, i was then transfered to a gentlemen called Menzi Madondo and i stated the reason for my call and as per our conversation below, he acknowledged and confirmed that they saw and noticed the extra payment and it should be refunded back into my account. Its now the 17th of January 2026 and there is still no refund done. I escalated this to their HO and still nothing done. I know R910.00 might be small amount to them but its my money. I don't think they would have given me grace if i had not paid my bill. .@Mugg_and_Bean kindly refund my money.
