@SwimChaser That's my strategy every year. Drive around aimlessly for long enough and eventually you run into a tornado or two 😜

@Vincent_Ledvina Huh ... we have it easy here. I have never had any problems, but we rarely go below -5 °C . My biggest mistake usually is forgetting food :)

To anyone wondering, you NEVER shut off your car if you are out aurora chasing in cold weather. This is a common mistake by newcomers when they are waiting for the aurora to strengthen... your car may not turn on if you shut it off and suddenly could be in a life-threatening situation.
