Meteorological breakdown of the Kankakee, IL, tornadic supercell from March 10 is coming later this week, complete with special guest! We'll be taking an in-depth look at the changes in storm behavior that led to significant tornado production from NE Illinois well into NW Indiana, as well has how this storm was able to produce gargantuan hail and significant tornadoes simultaneously. Progress since 2 weeks ago. I've gone down the sounderpy route which is way easier - absolutely loving it. Just need to get an interactive map working. Here is a test sounding from that rare severe weather environment we saw last June based on the 12z run that day.

@ConvChronicles Seemed to struggle to produce anything again after it tracked through OKC. Too much dry air aloft maybe? Seemed like its outflow was a bit too strong and increasing low-level shear after sunset didn’t appear to help enough.

Quick collection of highlights from the tornado-warned supercell that tracked across the Oklahoma City metro area on Tuesday. The storm produced a brief tornado on the western outskirts of the city near Tuttle before moving into OKC and developing some nice structure right over the downtown skyline.

Thursday 12/3 Lightning risk too low for a convective outlook although the setup is worthy of discussion. Of note is the strong winds for northern parts as well as the low likelihood of an isolated brief tornado somewhere along the line convection tomorrow afternoon. #ukweather

Multiple developing supercells are occurring across the Texas Hill Country region. These supercells are capable of very large hail and an increasing tornado threat as we move towards 0z (red). A developing CU field in NW TX/SW OK is a concerning trend to monitor (yellow).

A pretty serious event could be unfolding soon in northern America. Will be watching this closely and although i dont usually post/update about American weather, I will be updating this event if it becomes serious.
