It was a shock this morning to find out that my friend Lindsey Graham has died. He was a man who loved his work, his country, and his family. He didn’t have an easy life growing up and to me that explained a lot about him as well as his devotion to his remaining family members including his sister. It also explained his almost kid-like exuberance about his job and the responsibilities he was given (even in his sixties he would get off a plane in a foreign land with a twinkle in his eye and look at me as if to say, can you believe we are actually here and doing this?).
Lindsey was loyal to friends and causes. He was willing to work on gnarly issues and take on (at times) political risks for the right reasons. It is fitting that he died shortly after visiting Ukraine, one of those causes he would stand up for through thick and thin.
Much will be said in the coming days about his relationships with others—President Trump and John McCain for instance—but what can’t be forgotten is the reason why so many people he worked with—from senators to staff—will mourn his loss: Lindsey had a zest for life and the Senate that made you want to get to work on a bill with him or at least debate him. He brought joy to his job.
Lindsey Graham was the one who was willing to work with me (when so few would) on helping the Afghan refugees. I remember standing outside of a little phone booth in the Republican cloakroom last year as he spoke with the Vice President, holding up a sign that said “Save the Afghans” and he put the phone on hold and said “OK OK I will go on your bill even if it gets me in trouble.” Or his early willingness to lead on big tech bills, including repealing the provision that protects them from consumer suits.
But mostly my fond memories of spending time with Lindsey (and we travelled the world with John McCain) was not about the ups and downs of his policy positions. It was about his love for the world, his loyalty to hard causes and his friends, and the pure joy he brought to life. I will miss him.
Tim Walz says he felt sorry for the foreign child sex offender he pardoned: “I can find no reason how Minnesota is safer or better if he is deported to a country he has not been to since he was a child.”

What Mayor Mamdani is doing in New York City is exactly right. Americans are sick and tired of getting ripped off by being trapped into paying recurring charges.
Congress must follow New York’s lead.
Syracuse hired a level 3 s*x offender as a city crew leader because Democrats banned asking about criminal history
A registered level 3 s*x offender was hired and promoted by the City of Syracuse, and the city didn’t even run a proper background check on him.
James DeSantis has prior convictions for child s*x crimes dating back to 2005 and 2024. He was hired by the city in 2017 under former Democrat Mayor Stephanie Miner and later promoted to crew leader in the Department of Public Works.
In 2014, the Democrat-run city council passed a “Ban the Box” law that restricted the city from asking job applicants about their criminal history. As a result, DeSantis was brought on without anyone properly looking into his record.
He is now facing 11 new charges after allegedly trying to rpe a 12-year-old girl.
According to reports, he threatened her with a gun and sent her explicit messages, including asking her to call him “Daddy” while recording sx acts.
The mayor confirmed he has since been fired.
This is what happens when ideology is put ahead of public safety. Policies like Ban the Box were sold as compassion. In reality, they put predators in positions of trust.
Pass this along so more cities see what these laws actually enable.

@libsoftiktok I just want to know the status of the dog in the pics. She chose that life, sadly, the dog couldn't. We all know how they feel about both dogs and women.

AMAZING! Did you know that Trump sued Palm Beach after opening Mar-a-Lago to Black and Jewish members that other clubs still banned??
When he converted the estate into a private club in 1995, Trump welcomed Black and Jewish members at a time when most elite Palm Beach clubs still excluded them. This broke with the town’s long-standing discriminatory culture.
Later, when the town hit Mar-a-Lago with heavy zoning restrictions, traffic limits, noise rules, and membership caps, Trump sued for $100 million.
He argued in part that officials were retaliating against him because his club was open to everyone while council members had ties to more restrictive clubs.
The lawsuit was eventually settled out of court. Trump won relief on many of the restrictions, and Mar-a-Lago continued operating as one of the few truly inclusive clubs in Palm Beach.
This is the real story the media has spent years trying to twist.
Pass this along so more Americans finally see how Trump actually fought the old boys’ network in Palm Beach. 💪🇺🇸
