IT’S DONE! 😭 I told myself to not post anything before this is done to stay motivated and I FINALLY finished the spine dress inspired by Sandman’s helmet (by Neil Gaiman)

Congrats to @RiteAidCorp for running this @bartelldrugs location that has been open for nearly 100 years *completely* into the ground Your "Courtesy Refill" program you force customers to "opt-in" to is even more predatory than I thought Goodbye and good riddance

You can now order a Pixel Pump and also injection moulded SMD Magazines from my store directly. 🚨 First things first, orders made here will ship after the CrowdSupply units have been shipped. Thanks for all the feedback and support! RTs appreciated 🤙

Chip photography folks: Do you have any tricks for stitching photographs of chips with many repeating features, like an SRAM memory? I'm resorting to leaving the die on a shelf until enough dust coats it to make features for stitching.

Fine. I’ll do it myself. I started oughing in a design idea with kid toys & zip ties. The odds are low that this ends up a success, but it’s worth trying. DIY machines often need lots of continual babying. Add the fact that paper feeding is an art form of balancing friction.

Every few months I search for a much smaller version of this. They don’t seem to exist, but I could make it if I had the time. These things are huge. It could easily be under 1 cubic foot if it used half a desktop printer’s paging mechanism. Someone make it!

@aallan @bunniestudios @Raspberry_Pi The camera is in the SWIR range, which is below what silicon can typically pick up, for a simple reason: it's transparent to it. Modern cameras in that range use Indium Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs), which while the price is still going down, is around 14k for a camera.

Fascinating one from @bunniestudios. Using a far-IR sensitive camera with IR lights to see inside chips without decapping. Wonder if a @Raspberry_Pi NoIR camera would work? Don't really know what the response curve looks like around 1100nm though, #camera-module-3" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">raspberrypi.com/documentation/…. Hmm! 🤔

Found a method to see inside some chips, without having to unmount or destroy the chips. Best part - the method only relies on lightly modded off-the-shelf cameras and lenses. Read more at bunniestudios.com/blog/?p=6712

@thomasphorton @tacertain I did that for a while, eventually being told to stop. I still maintain that there are supposed to be 2 bags of coffee in the hopper for a full brew, and 1 bag is for a half carafe. It's the only way it's palatable.

We just shared in our Zenodo Community our lab-trick to etch SiO2 without using hydrofluoric acid (HF). I will briefly explain it in this 🧵 but you can check the whole text here: zenodo.org/record/7677639…
