@LibertyPillMeme It's like girl on the right is objectively a little prettier but I would choose a girl like the girl on the left 100000000 times out of 100000000
@NDrake123@AnimexTwts@flvcovlquimistv If they got double at that pay rate, you could still earn a little more than that working as a part timer at McDonalds.
9200 USD annually is 767 monthly. If you worked 30 hours a week at McDonalds in Japan, your monthly take home would be anywhere from 756 to 945 USD.
@Alter_ZR@Cliff8161@OniNekoVT@NeonYugen I'm not really sure I understand? The manga already states that Kirara's male. Is that not enough? Also why does this matter so much to you?
@rip_gojo34@HikariNoYumiETx@FemboyArtworks That isn't to say that there's something wrong with trans people or characters. That's just how Japan views those characters on a cultural level. And that can change in the future as well, anything can happen. But as it stands, you'll have to be okay with Kirara not being trans.
@rip_gojo34@HikariNoYumiETx@FemboyArtworks Japanese media oftentimes write in characters that present as the opposite gender, but it's typically done deliberately and stylistically. Culturally, Japan is very accepting of the "trap" or "okama" archetypes, and they're done so without being framed as trans characters.
@amay_rafik@lxlvsh0t The same "Christians" that question the methods by which people offer praise to Him are the same "Christians" that follow false prophets, like Donald Trump.
@rip_gojo34@HikariNoYumiETx@FemboyArtworks To be clear I don't agree with the "freaks" framing, and my girlfriend is trans. If Kirara were male presenting and the artist decided that she were officially female, I would respect that and use female pronouns to refer to her. I think that's fine.
@rip_gojo34@HikariNoYumiETx@FemboyArtworks It's not transphobic to say that the character is male, if that's the artist's official position. Societal norms in Japan likely influenced that decision, and the fact that they are female presenting would probably lead me to believe otherwise. But that's what they're going with.
“NATO WASN’T THERE WHEN WE NEEDED THEM, AND THEY WON’T BE THERE IF WE NEED THEM AGAIN. REMEMBER GREENLAND, THAT BIG, POORLY RUN, PIECE OF ICE!!!” - President Donald J. Trump
@teamweissmann@KamalaHarris Oh it was just and necessary?
So then bombing the Iranian girl's school was just and necessary. Bombing Iranian cultural sites were just and necessary. Bombing civilian infrastructure was also just and necessary. Wiping out a "whole civilization" is just and necessary.
Right?
Every time you open your mouth or tweet, I am reminded to be grateful that you are not the president.
It's disgusting to me that your hatred for Trump leads you to cheerlead against America.
This war is both just and necessary. Biden and Obama, with your support, are the reason it's necessary.
The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.
This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.
Trump's recklessness is needlessly putting our brave service members in harm's way, destroying America's global standing, and making life even more unaffordable for the American people.
We must all stand against this and oppose funding this illegal war of choice.
@TreyGolfFish@RevivedDrip@RationalWins It's not my claim that Iran didn't or doesn't know how much oil goes through ports it controls. I would assume that they would have knowledge of their numbers.
We really don’t talk enough about just how good Obama’s final years in office were economically.
Bro was handed the worst economic disaster since the Depression and left us with record low unemployment, record GDP growth, and $2 gas
@TreyGolfFish@RevivedDrip@RationalWins The Straits*. Hormuz accounts for about 20%, and Bab al-Mandeb accounts for another approximate 5%.
I know because I read reports and looked at shipping data? 4.2 million bpd went through al-Mandeb in 2025, and 20 million bpd went through Hormuz.
@TreyGolfFish@RevivedDrip@RationalWins The Strait was in no danger until the US began operations. Now Iran is also threatening to close the Bab al-Mendeb Strait. If both close, it would account for approximately 25% of the world's oil supply, further worsening the energy crisis.
Trump did not think anything through.
The outcome goal is to break Iran so that the strait is free of danger. Iran simply existing caused prices to increase bc insurance companies jacked up the rates for cargo coverage. It’s as old as Lloyd’s of London insuring boats around the Barbary pirates. You might think there are other ways to achieve that goal but the goal is still the same. Iran owned the strait by controlling the cloud that hangs over it. We dropped two nukes on Japan and now they are a top 5 ally. The goal is to dismantled Iran, let our Arab allies control the strait and see a windfall drop in cargo prices to pass. What was your solution to stop the 2 million extra in price per ship being paid to insurance simply bc Iran existed? People didn’t even think about that, just see Trump doing it so it must be bad.
@TreyGolfFish@RevivedDrip@RationalWins What are you talking about?
It's being reported that Iran is charging that as a direct result of US hostile action as of about 2 weeks ago. No one had a solution to the $2m surcharge, because it didn't exist until Trump lost whatever mind he had left and dove into war.
