Every time you open your mouth or tweet, I am reminded to be grateful that you are not the president. It's disgusting to me that your hatred for Trump leads you to cheerlead against America. This war is both just and necessary. Biden and Obama, with your support, are the reason it's necessary.

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it. This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this. Trump's recklessness is needlessly putting our brave service members in harm's way, destroying America's global standing, and making life even more unaffordable for the American people. We must all stand against this and oppose funding this illegal war of choice.

I just came back from a trip to Miami. Its been a while since I have been. About 10 years. Miami feels like what a major city in Latin America would look like if everyone followed laws. (I say this as a Brazilian). Talked to a lot of folks recently moving there. It feels like Austin 5 years ago? I could not find a specific reason in particular why people are moving there. Specifically tech. Talent pool for tech is smaller than LA or Bay Area. Wondering if its just the tax situation being better? Or is there something I am missing?

A lot of ‘analysis’ floating around on Iran reduces cleanly to something like: it’s been 12 days and the regime hasn’t fallen therefore Iran is winning this forever war and China will soon rule the world. Bonus conclusion: this is Israel’s fault. It doesn’t take a genius to realize there’s something off kilter about this chorus.

Funding With two terror attacking the US today it’s time for enough Democratic Senators to again crossover and fund DHS and TSA without delay. Once again Schumer is trying to keep his job with counterproductive maneuvers that accomplish nothing but please his base. This is now too serious and too dangerous to keep delaying further and these employees can’t keep working without pay.

Big mistake to prematurely pull the plug on this Iran campaign — the way the president did during the 12-Day campaign. There are thousands more targets that must be destroyed, enriched uranium stockpiles to take, and PickAxe Mountain facility to destroy.

Poll panic is overblown. In the next few years, Israel — with Trump’s backing — will: 1. Cripple Iran’s capabilities, accelerating the regime’s demise. 2. Lock in a next-gen U.S.–Israel strategic pact — AI, missile defense, cyber, space — making the alliance indispensable. 3. Set the gold standard for model partner burden sharing — fighting, innovating, and deterring on the front lines. 4. Build a more self-reliant defense industrial base, reducing exposure to U.S. political swings. 5. Expand ties with India, the UAE, Greece, Cyprus, Japan, Singapore, Argentina, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Somaliland and beyond — while opening doors to Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and other Muslim states. 6. Elect a more centrist government capable of rebuilding bipartisan support in Washington. 7. Deepen integration with CENTCOM partners, turning air defense and intelligence-sharing into a regional security architecture. 8. Dominate emerging military tech — AI-targeting, autonomous systems, quantum, layered missile defense — widening the qualitative edge. 9. Leverage energy, water, cyber, AI, healthtech innovation diplomacy, strengthening European, Middle Eastern, Asian, African and Latin American need for Israeli resources. 10. Reassert bipartisan congressional support as results on deterrence and normalization speak louder than campus slogans. The pessimists are front-running a story that hasn’t been written yet.

Had a conversation with a GP of a PE fund that acquires $50-$500m revenue manufacturing companies. They love “hairy” deals and did 7 acqiusitions in the last 18 months “We're Midwest guys who’re willing to do the hard work.” In terms of value creation, they have two phases: Phase I: Improving EBITDA (they never buy negative EBITDA!!!); they try to improve it 2–3x and then enter Phase II... Phase II: Growth, M&A, new channel entry... all to grow the top line. He believes the most MOIC is generated in Phase I, but too many folks get too excited about Phase II... Three interesting takeaways: 1. One of their pre-fund deals was an $80 million corporate carve-out where they generated a $54 million gain on a $300 thousand investment for a 180x gross MOIC. 2. They raised Fund II, a $300 million fund, in 2025. Oversubscribed, and they hit a hard cap. 3. The GPs absolutely love their jobs. You can see it when listening to them share how they think about companies and value creation. “I’d do this job for free, because it’s the most intellectually challenging work.” Great news below:

Hillary Clinton just penned a column for the Atlantic on "MAGA’s War on Empathy" because, when one thinks of empathy, one thinks of her. From dismissing women raising sexual assaults as "bimbo eruptions" or her chilling Benghazi testimony, Clinton is empathy personified...

I can’t look away from Bari Weiss's story at CBS. It's the drama. The memos. The anonymous staff statements. The internal rebellions that always claim they are defending journalism while quietly defending comfort. The whole thing is a perfect snapshot of what American media became in the last decade. But I’m following it for a more serious reason. Bari Weiss represents a path that almost no journalist takes. She did not just complain about a broken newsroom culture. She published her critique, walked away from the most prestigious platform in the industry, and built a competing institution. Then she returned to a legacy newsroom, not as a guest, not as a columnist, not as a hired pen, but with authority. That is rare. That is the difference between talking about change and making it. I have managed journalists for years. I know how much talent gets wasted on self-censorship. I know how many good reporters learn to anticipate the internal backlash and adjust their writing before the editors even touch it. Weiss built an audience precisely because she wrote as if adults still exist. The Jewish element is central. Weiss refused the defensive crouch. She spoke about antisemitism in ways that most never did; without the usual disclaimers. She treated Jewish safety as a story that belongs on the front page, not in a local news outlet or tiny corner of the internet. David Ellison belongs in this story too. Owners decide whether courage is rewarded or punished. Owners decide whether leadership has cover when the internal outrage machine starts up. Ellison backing Weiss, and backing support for Israel after October 7, signals something that Jews and Israelis understand intuitively: Not only is it important to create news differently - It’s also okay to look at the Middle East through the prism of Western societies; and at Israel as homeland of the Jewish people - and the only democracy in the region. Here’s my honest takeaway: Weiss is doing more for Jews and Israel than most of us, and she is doing it with creative thinking that turns backlash into leverage and chaos into direction. That is leadership. 🇺🇸 ✡️🇮🇱 My @Jerusalem_Post column: jpost.com/international/…

This is the first time in my life that I await a flight from Tel Aviv back to America and I don’t feel safe to leave Israel. The world is no longer safe for us. We’re not safe anywhere but here we have an army to protect us. What is it going to take? You all did this. You let this hatred implode. You chose to make friends with and protect people who displayed blatant Jew hatred wrapped up in the virtuous talk of “human rights”. You made up lies about us to justify your distance and betrayal. And now you are silent. Do you honestly think you’re not next? Have you read any books? What is the matter with all of you? Did you forget compassion? Did your parents teach you right from wrong? Do you understand the value of life? I am heartbroken and livid. That this is still the story. That Jews cannot wear a Star of David in public without taking our lives into our own hands. That we cannot celebrate a festival without being murdered. What darkness is in you? Where is your heart?

In an hour, I will be logging off for 25 hours as I always do on Friday evening to spend the Sabbath with friends, family, and God. It was a custom Charlie Kirk observed too; he was writing a book about it. I welcome you to join this tradition, a gift from God, in his honor.
