Reviewers: if you are assigned a manuscript that is well written and data are clear, can we agree to say no changes needed? It seems many suggest unnecessary changes just to feel they are a good reviewer. This is damaging to students, postdocs and PIs 😡 @AcademicChatter

@SysVirology @haesleinhuepf @FijiSc Writing a plugin for Fiji is generally quite more involved than writing a macro. At least, it definitely has a higher activation barrier. Five years ago today, I moved to the US to pursue an academic career and explore new research directions. Today, I'm overwhelmed by deep anxiety about the upcoming Executive Order suspending work visas including H-1B, which I've applied for. Speechless.

So, there is a pregnant student in my school this semester, which should be no-one's business, only she might give birth before the end of term so she's been asking profs if she can submit the final papers a couple of weeks earlier 1/x
