@GoogleAI: when I ask Gemini "What time is it in Hawaii?" I just want the answer to be the current time in Hawaii. I don't care about the name of the time zone, or the history of why that time zone exists or any other thing besides the specific piece of information I asked for.

Can't remember where I put one of my lights I bought a couple years ago, but I can tell you that that @Ludacris sold 50,000 units of #Incognegro at $7/EA in 1999 out of the trunk of his car.

This will be interesting to watch play out. Does it 1. Generate more excitement about posting videos to X/Twitter from creators who haven’t started yet. OR 2. Generate more anger from people already posting to X/Twitter who are getting only a tiny % of MrBeast’s CPM.

MY FIRST X VIDEO MADE OVER $250,000! 😲 But it’s a bit of a facade. Advertisers saw the attention it was getting and bought ads on my video (I think) and thus my revenue per view is prob higher than what you’d experience

@ColinandSamir I refuse to watch long form video on this platform. This is not the everything app. There is no everything app. If I want to watch a Mr Beast video, I am literally never going to come to Twitter to do so. gtfoh.

Watch time will be the most interesting metric to track here. Current consumer behavior is not to sit on a single post for 15+ mins, but that changes with good content. Excited to see how this plays out A few thoughts 1. Discovery on X is great due to network effects (if someone you follow likes something it shows up in your feed) 2. Monetization on YT is being driven by Mid-rolls on longer content and high fill rates. X would need to not only deliver on Pre-roll but also mid-roll advertising. Or share revenue with ads in replies of videos. 3. Exclusive or windowed content would change user behavior and essentially guarantee longer watch time (so long as the content is good). That's an aggressive and expensive game to play, but @elonmusk is already staring that process with originals. Additionally, Multi-language audio functionality needs to be added, it feels strange to see a video player without that option. Automatically limits the potential scale.

$1 Car vs $100,000,000 Car!!! I’m curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make so I’m reuploading this to test it. Will share ad rev next week ❤️

I'd love to be able to use my @feiyutech #Pocket3 but I can't connect to it through the app at all. Tried multiple phones, both iOS and Android.

@robertoblake Not a social person, and no real connection to their immediate family. This. I will understand no real connection with far family but immediate family is a non negotiable to at least try to say hi everyday.

I’m going to describe a character. You don’t have to guess where from. And I want your opinion on this character and what if anything stands out as a red flag 🚩 Extremely introverted shut in. No social media besides LinkedIn. Does not drink, smoke, attend clubs and has no interest in night life. Career driven. Quiet. Keeps to themselves. Not a social person, and no real connection to their immediate family. Sharp dresser, drives an SUV day to day and a Corvette on the weekends. In terms of socializing, does so at business events, charity functions. Is an extremely private person. Lives alone in a condo. Doesn’t smoke, no tattoos. Never married. No notable hobbies other than reading tennis and running. Doesn’t go to the public gym, works out in the fitness center in their condo. Speaks well. Dresses well. Always put together. Makes it a point to stay offline and only uses phones and computers for work.

@roqueadeleon @robertoblake You must not have your own business. You have less time than ever when running your own business because you're always working. As owner you don't get to punch out.

Only way is to make your own thing/create your biz/etc. Her complaints seem to be about time freedom. You will only get this working for yourself and not for someone else. Or if your job is generally so flexible that you can shift things around a bit. Its really screwed up that many people spend more time at a job/workplace/commuting/getting ready for work than they do with their own families. The system is twisted

Honest advice in her situation without any dunking or hyperbole: Most young people who don’t have parents that can help out can’t life in their own in a nice or safe area starting out in life… it’s not the norm, and it was never the norm. Find a female coworker you get along great with who has the same situation, combine resources and move to the city together. This eliminates the commute and also adds in an extra layer or Support and socializing… Shift lifestyle to “career mode”, wake up at 5am and start morning routine and work out and finish by 7. Now if you move to the city this can be 6am but 5am would still be better. As you’d also get Additional alone time or quiet time. Also with the extra time she could do meal prep, meaning it’s okay if after work she is a bit tired and doesn’t want to cook, can still eat healthy. Look into energy management. If she’s done with work around 5 and no longer has the commute she could still have a light social life. In general in career mode, having a night life is not advisable but spending time out immediately after work for an hour or so is fine. In theory by moving to the city she could also get a gym near work/home, carry a bag with extra clothes and makeup and keep a gym locker and workout immediately after work, change and spend a bit of time socializing before going home early to immediately eat dinner and get 8 hours of sleep. If she shifts to workouts after work instead of before she can push back the sleep schedule and not wake up as early since the lack commute gives her back 2 hours. Should still look into energy management and being exhausted after work. Young people tend to struggle with staying hydrated even if otherwise healthy. A note that needs to be said: being young and living alone after college years is not the norm. Most people do it with roommates or as a couple and when they don’t, if they don’t have financial support to do it, they struggle bus through it. It’s always been like this for people who don’t have an abundance of privilege. Social media and seeing how the top 10% live has us eating with our eyes and believing luxury is normal. Not having a social life while in career mode is fairly normal too. It’s not fulfilling and yes it does make people sad and a bit lonely. This is also why people say they regret over optimizing for this while young and not enjoying themselves a bit more. Or why they regret delaying family life for career mode. In this video her biggest complaint is a lack of a social life. Weekends exist and it may not be ideal but that is what most people do. They have their social life on the weekend. The college experience doesn’t prepare you for the real world, it lets you live in a distortion… What she’s experiencing and feeling is NORMAL. There is some push back on whether this SHOULD be normal. But very little of what people propose is realistic. She seems to favor the idea that if she was working remotely this would all be okay. But she JUST graduated for college. Working remotely is a privilege and not a right. You don’t qualify for it right out of college… Again social media is conditioning people to believe they should have something other people have .., Qualify for it. Find who works remotely at the job and find out what it takes to prove yourself and qualify. Also worth noting. When newly employed, don’t overshare on social media in case you go viral as it might impact your career in the present or future. I think what I have laid out here is sound and rational…

@robertoblake The real advice should be to use those very much available hours to find out what you want out of life and not make videos crying about the commute. Once you know what you want to do, commutes are just part of the process.

@robertoblake "I'm home by 6:15 but I don't have time for anything" I mean I guess if you're sleeping 12 hours, you definitely don't have time for a life. But If you're that young, 6-8 hours will suffice, which gives you 3-4 hours a night to do whatever the fk you want.

If you're looking for a budget mirrorless, this is the way to go! sub-$400 WITH LENS! This is a better deal than when I got my M10 on clearance. If you're looking to start video and/or learn cameras, get on it. amzn.to/3F9gL5Z

I swear the editors at @AmazonFreevee cut a second earlier than they should FOR EVERY SINGLE COMMERCIAL BREAK on purpose to make the experience shitty and force you to think about getting @PrimeVideo. If I'm wrong and they're just incompetent, I'm reasonably inexpensive @Amazon.
