I guess if you wonder if you're ready to quit your job to do crypto full-time, make it as a rule for yourself that you probably have to spend much more hours on this than a regular job.
If you're willing to do that, you'll increase the odds of making it.
About the money part: everyone is different, but for most people I'd say it helps to have cash on the side saved up in case you're having hard months where you don't earn anything, or even lose money. How much? Only you can answer it.
