@istancqyt @JFreshHockey The league figured out his sweet spot over the years. Him shooting at the flank was his bread and butter and made him dangerous. Now he defers too much. Is it related to his past wrist injury? Who knows.
English

@JFreshHockey one thing i don’t understand is why he no longer shoots. he’s basically useless on the PP because he no longer does his deadly one timers
English

@JFreshHockey He's not a bad skater by anymeans, but it hasn't looked as impactful as it used to be?
English

@itbootios @AndehWahl @DhaliwalSports As long as he is willing to lose a lot and not be dangerous anymore and still be a good teammate, then by all means, he will stay. The pettersson era in vancouver is over. I hope he goes elsewhere in a better environment. Just can't happen here anymore.
English

@TB_9192 @AndehWahl @DhaliwalSports Nobody in that locker really cares about his contract, sure it looks high, but he isn’t a locker room issue. It’s been reported mutiple times as well. He wants to be a Canucks. They are purely just listening to everyone and his name comes up the most.
English

Thank you @DhaliwalSports
There will always be trade talk about Elias, but as I've said they haven't asked him to waive anything, and frankly there's no point in trading him right now.
If he has a good season this or maybe next season, you might get a great return for the rebuild. His value is currently at the bottom, the Canucks aren't in a bad cap situation, and the contract is a non-issue at this point. There's no reason to trade him, unless he asks for it and even then... probably not worth doing unless you get a great return. Trades with NMCs are a double-edged sword - both the team and the player can say no.
Ride it out, increase his value, then cash in. That's the way to do it. #Canucks
Rick Dhaliwal@DhaliwalSports
Lots of Elias Pettersson trade talk but As of now, he has not been asked to waive his no-move clause to go anywhere. Lots of chatter but don’t believe anything is close.
English

@JFreshHockey He also lost his foot speed. He has always been defensively responsible, but he had to be more "defensive" to make up for his lack of gamebreaking ability and speed he once had. He is not strong on faceoffs and willing to eat pucks all at the price of $11.6 million a year.
English

@itbootios @AndehWahl @DhaliwalSports They also preached they want to fix the culture. So, fixing an $11.6 million dollar player is the solution again? He needs to move on at some point. There isn't enough player support for him in vancouver. Go somewhere where the weight of the world isn't on his shoulders anymore.
English

@TB_9192 @AndehWahl @DhaliwalSports It’s also been reported everywhere that Sedins and Manny wanna work with him. They are listening and Probabaly have gotten an offer they are happy with.
English

Should Rogers sell the #Canucks radio rights to a local radio station in town.
English

@TB_9192 @QuadrelliD Probably will take a nice vacation and then start a podcast. Hopefully
English

Absolutely gutted for my colleagues at Sportsnet 650. Some incredibly talented people at that station who deserved a proper sign off.

By all accounts Roger’s has shuttered Vancouver sports radio SN650 effectively immediately
English

Suits in Toronto treat vancouver like shit yet again. @DhaliwalSports #canucks

English

@QuadrelliD Disgraceful behaviour. BC being cast aside and losing some great voices for our market. The independent market here is going to be hot
English

The Jays couldn’t score and I had to listen to a World Cup classic on the radio driving home, but I always love to grab a bag of Dick’s when I’m in Seattle. @SadClubCommish @MikeHalford604

English

@frank_seravalli Buddy, he's being handed the bag. Anyone with a brain would accept financial security. Verbeek is to blame for this.
English

@KempnerCanucks You might as well take out a loan to buy a Ferrari. Pipedream.
English

Should the Canucks OFFER SHEET Connor Bedard?!?!?!
It’s worth the discussion imo. It probably means the #Canucks would have to make room to do this.
