@AZDevils95 @joeroganhq The simple majority doesn’t work when the Dems invoke the filibuster. Republicans don’t have the 60-vote threshold to overcome it, hence why it’s called the Democrat shutdown.

The Republican Party has control of the House, Senate and they have the White House. They even have a majority conservative supreme court. This idea that it's a "Democrat Shutdown" is beyond retarded. The Democrat Party isn't the one writing the bill to be passed. As if the Republican Party is going to lay down and set aside their agenda entirely and let the minority party dictate the terms entirely of government reopening. It's a Republican authored bill and if they want it to pass, they need to reach across to the other side for 10 votes and work out a deal. Their refusal to work out any kind of deal to obtain those 10 votes makes it their fault. Republicans are not entitled to free votes from the opposition just because their party is short a few votes.
