CA has been credibly accused of underreporting. In MO, almost all the violent crime happens in the solid blue counties around Kansas City and St. Louis. This plays out nation wide. Over 70% of all US violent crime happens in just 5% of counties. Almost all solid blue.

Universal Basic Income will make most human labor obsolete. Humanity will move into a new era where pure craft and challenges become the new purpose. I agree with almost everything Elon says, but I don't think money will disappear. Why? Because a game without currency isn't a fun game. Earth will become a giant video game. And we need a currency to decide who's building the greatest stuff. It's going to be super fun.

For the record I am vehemently anti-state control. This is one of its many critical flaws. State ownership means a company is only as good as the person who makes the calls. And usually that person answers only to whatever patronage network they paid off to get elected.

@NRLaPoint History majors usually come in two flavors:
Fact regurgitaters and their feelings.
People who actually engage with the events and their ramifications on the world and how that shapes us and society.
The latter may be what bumps the score up.

Yes. I definitely left High School at 16 and started college at 17 because they were great.
The metal detectors, stabbings, fights, gangs and shit ass teachers were in my head.

When I hear an adult complain about how terrible their teacher was to them, I usually conclude that I'm speaking to an adult that never matured past their school aged self. "I HATE Ms. Olsen" often precedes a story about Ms. Olsen trying her best to teach them Algebra.

The funniest thing about this is how successful my brother and I were in college and life in general.
We definitely earn more than the teachers who sucked.
We have harder, more technical jobs, and a broader knowledge base.
I guess what I’m saying is homeschool your kids.
