Trump restarted the war because he wanted ships to abandon Iran’s designated route through Hormuz for the U.S.-backed route. Weeks later, after major escalation & Brent going back above $100, every transiting vessel is using Iran’s designated route. None are using the US route.

Before we sued him, I used to email Blinken's staff the names of AMERICANS including kids and grandparents trapped in Gaza begging for evacuation assistance. The replies were cold & eventually stopped coming. I had clients who were killed while waiting to exit Gaza. Imagine being killed by bombs your tax dollars paid for. Then, during his last week in office, I had someone hand deliver to Blinken a list of Americans still stuck in Gaza despite seeking the US govt's assistance for a year. He said the incoming administration would take care of it. Ofc, they didn't. Salsabeel, an American mother of 3, remains trapped in Gaza. The Stage Dept refuses to evacuate her kids because they're not American.

Most important midterm race for setting up the 2028 primary is clearly Michigan. If El-Sayed wins nom and general, progressives proved they can win a big swing state; El-Sayed instantly becomes one of the most prominent Dem senators, and advocate for AOC ‘28. If El-Sayed wins nom and loses to Rogers, the center-left can (and will) blame the left for losing a MI Senate seat that’s been blue since the 90s; El-Sayed becomes a cautionary tale of voting for a charismatic left-winger and handing the W to Republicans. If Stevens wins nom and general, not much changes, but the left doesn’t have a swing state story to tell. If Stevens wins nom and loses to Rogers, the left can say: See? See? You idiots pulled out the stops for your candidate and she blew it. Hand over the keys.
