I just had a coworker emphatically tell me not to eat at Chipotle or Panda Express because they put microchips in the rice. No, she's not kidding. This is life in the Southeast US. In case you ever wondered why the US is the way it is.

For those who aren't aware, "scrub mommy" includes a 'softer side' which is noticeably absent from "scrub daddy."
This sends a clear message that women are expected to be soft and demure while men are free to remain harsh and avoidant.
To market products that are used for women's work in such a sexist manner is insidious and destructive messaging to women and girls.

Do people know that music agencies send guys out to restaurants who basically act like a health inspector but it’s to make sure the business is playing music that they own the licenses to? And if they catch you playing copyrighted music they can sue you? That’s a real thing.

I once had an employee on her very first day, walk out after two hours and not tell anybody. Her direct manager came to me puzzled and said, "I guess she quit?" I said okay, e-mail her, tell her sorry it didn't work out, and we'll pay her for the full day. She replied and said she didn't quit, she just left to go home and bake a birthday cake but she'd be back tomorrow. Yup.
