In modern Britain, the most dangerous thing you can be… is normal. You get up, go to work, pay your taxes, don’t rob anyone, don’t smash anything, don’t glue yourself to a motorway… and for your efforts? Congratulations—you’ve unlocked Hard Mode. No perks. No fast-track lane. No “priority support.” Just a direct debit and a polite reminder that you’re funding absolutely everything. Work hard? Taxed. Try to get ahead? Taxed again. Finally breathe out? Careful—someone’s probably drafting a levy for that too. Meanwhile, if you’re loud enough, disruptive enough, or fall into the right category of “needs attention this week,” suddenly the doors swing open, the language softens, and the system bends over backwards like it’s auditioning for Cirque du Soleil. And you’re sat there thinking—hang on… I did everything right. Was that the mistake? Because the quiet, law-abiding, tax-paying majority aren’t celebrated… they’re assumed. Relied on. Squeezed. You’re not the priority—you’re the funding model. And the better you behave, the less anyone notices… until the bill lands. So no—you’re not the enemy of the state. But if you ever stop playing along, you might suddenly realise just how much of it was built on you quietly saying nothing.

@stuey_beef If we in the UK are forced to call marmalade citrus marmalade or similar then the french should be made to call the fish they get from our waters les poisson d'anglais. And pay for them. At least. #NoToEU

Paddington Bear didn’t queue at the polls. But millions of people did, to leave the EU and take decisions in Britain. Under Starmer, we can’t even decide what we print on a jar of marmalade without Brussels’ say‑so. That’s not sovereignty. That’s submission.

The invasion of the UK continues… 638 men arrived illegally via small boat today, bringing the total to 963 just this week. This is unsustainable and suicidal. We must stop the boats, send home all illegals, and begin Remigration, our very future depends on it. 📷: From Chris Johnson on FaceBook

We voted to leave in 2016. Not “leave a bit.” Not “leave until someone in Westminster gets bored.” Leave. What followed? Years of political tap dancing—Prime Ministers treating the result like a spelling mistake they could quietly correct if they squinted hard enough. And now—after all that—the big idea is: “Let’s just rejoin.” Of course. Because nothing says stable, serious governance like reversing the biggest democratic decision in modern British history on a whim. No plan. No terms. No clue what we’d have to give up to get back in. Just vibes… and a superiority complex. And here’s the part they hope you don’t notice: It wasn’t even in the Labour manifesto. Funny that. Because when politicians actually believe in something, they tend to mention it before asking for your vote. But this? This feels more like: “Don’t worry about what we said—this is what we meant.” You’re not being governed… you’re being managed. So now the question isn’t just about the EU— It’s this: When did democratic decisions become optional? Because if the answer is “whenever it’s inconvenient”… Then yeah— we’re not voters anymore. We’re mugs.

This week the National Education Union has vowed to stop a Reform government- by urging its 500,000 teacher members to campaign against Reform in the classroom. This is not education. It’s indoctrination. And it’s against the law.

Lord Frost on the EU Reset: "The new bill will sideline democratic UK lawmakers by making a whole range of EU laws applicable in Britain without us getting any say in them" "That’s not alignment, it’s subordination" Anyone who supports this action, is anti-democratic.

When will @DavidLammy get it into his head that he’s got this one painfully wrong? In a highly unusual intervention, the Lady Chief Justice, Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill, has raised serious concerns about the Government's plans to curtail this fundamental right. Baroness Carr, who has served as the most senior judge in England and Wales since 2023 — and is the first woman to hold the office — has warned ministers that expanding the use of judge-only trials could expose judges to an increased risk of physical abuse. The entire legal profession opposes Starmer and Lammy’s sinister plan to curb our right to trial by jury, saying it won’t cut the backlog and will damage public trust in the criminal justice system. It’s increasingly clear that David Lammy has let his massive ego get in the way. He’s happy to take away our liberties and put judges in harms way to prove he can “get stuff done” in Government. I voted out of the EU in 1975 and 2016, nothing has changed for me, we should have NEVER joined in the first place. We are an island and think like an island, also we have traded with the world for hundreds of years, we are very good at it. Get lost @Keir_Starmer .

With news that the EU Reset will require all UK marmalade to be rebranded and renamed, Paddington Bear is now out campaigning. But the UK having a much better trading relationship with his home country of Peru through Brexit and the CPTPP, that should hardly be surprising.

I voted Remain in 2016, but accepted the democratic mandate of the result. My vote for Remain wasn't 'reluctant' per se. More a case of it being 'pragmatic' or unromantic. Over the next couple of the years, I firmly came around to seeing the constitutional and economic case for leaving. By early 2018 I was an open Re-Leaver. Would never vote to rejoin now. We must lean into our sovereignty and pursue regulatory divergence from the declining European economic model.
Gully Foyle #UKTrade@TerraOrBust

Have to say I am absolutely loving the I am Spartacus moment that @CitySamuel has triggered with her article on converting from remain to leave. I have seen so many people today come out on X as having voted remain but now believing it was the right choice to leave.

IT IS MARMALADE. The new name was already set to take effect in Northern Ireland this summer, under the 2023 Windsor framework deal that sees the province align with EU food laws automatically. Just F*ck Off with this eu sh*t. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Completing Brexit- basically restoring our national sovereignty, taking control of our borders and freeing us from the interference of the corruptocrats in Brussels - was the clearest mandate or political instruction ever given by the British people to our Uniparty Establishment. The Tories were given an 80 seat majority but flatly refused to deliver Brexit, now Labour seeks to practically overturn it- without any mandate whatsoever. Who do these people think they are and who exactly do they work for? It clearly isn’t us, they clearly are not fit for purpose.

Starmer never believed in Brexit. He was always waiting for an excuse to reverse it. Now he is using the Middle East crisis to crawl back to the EU.

How is this MP not suspended? One affair with a captain of a nuclear submarine is clearly no biggie 😳 but 2? When your husband is a spy? I think there might be something amiss here
Higgy@higgyboson

I'm looking forward to the new 3 part @Channel4 drama series "Below the Surface" about a Labour MP who takes pleasure from stalking senior Naval Officers and instigating illicit extra-marital liaisons on nuclear submarines completely unaware that her husband is passing state secrets to China while she's bunked up with the Captain and warming her arse on the nuclear reactor just behind the bulkhead. A bit far fetched but we all need a bit of daft escapism in these troubled times. Starts next Thursday at 9pm.
