Public behavior, especially stopping vehicles on the main carriageway for pick-up/drop-off, also contributed to it. I am still thereTraffic staff is regulating both carriageways.

@dtptraffic The junction opposite delhi police apartment and Gyandeep’s apartments in Mayur vihar phase 1 is already prone to heavy traffic and congestion. Please stop sugarcane juice seller who parks his cart in the middle of the road at the turning leading to further chaos.

@KaRakhwala @dtptraffic Sir, The stretch falls within the jurisdiction of Madhu Vihar Circle. The primary reason for congestion is the merging of traffic from Shakarpur and the ITO loop. Staff remains deployed around Akshardham at both stretches to manage and regulate traffic.

However,the workers deployed have been briefed &instructed to ensure the area remains properly secured.

Valid PUCC & emissions norms is must. However,the same will be under the 🚫 category according to GRAP norms, if enforced.

Appreciate the response. However, the position appears selectively stated. As per directions of the Supreme Court of India and enforcement framework in Delhi-NCR, the restriction is not merely emission-based in isolation but a combined age + emission compliance regime. In effect, vehicles falling under BS-III & below, particularly beyond prescribed age thresholds, continue to face restriction/impounding—irrespective of ownership category. Therefore, stating “no blanket prohibition based on age” without clarifying its linkage with emission norms creates ambiguity on ground enforcement. If the principle is indeed uniform, it would be expected that all vehicles violating the same emission standards are treated equally, without selective stoppage or discretionary interpretation. A clearer, consistent enforcement position would serve public interest and avoid confusion among vehicle owners.

As per Hon’ble Supreme Court directions, restrictions in Delhi–NCR primarily relate to emission norms (BS-III & below). There is no blanket prohibition solely on vehicle age at present.
