Can't believe that i placed 4th at ETC. I performed the best I could and lost only to the champ @TekkenTetsu who was in top form throughout the tournament. See you in Tekken 8 with more Shaheen.

I never felt so much uninterest on TWT as this year. Between the game issues, the total absence of a decent roadmap (where's the finals? What is the prizepool?), what they did with the Rips, and the growth of EWC, I really feel like TWT don't exist basically. I seriously believe there's a huge need of a total company restructure when it comes to Tekken. There's so many missed opportunities with Tekken 8, that i lost the count of the things that should had been done better.

As it is Men's Mental Health month I'd like to remind you guys that whatever you're chasing in that 3rd hour of ranked match, you'll find in 1 hour at the gym.

@Oracle_Javier I would simply delete ss1+2 He is not my character anymore 😔

This would be the perfect time to downplay my character... But not happening bro, Shaheen is still super strong, he is weaker than before but with the new moves and better + frames he is still super oppressive and consistent I think all chars should be nerfed, Shaheen too 😁

I was used to see top 8 matches packed with people for Tekken 7 in european twt events even with s4 and s5. And lot of noise and support. This is very sad for me... it's all the game fault, it's nothing on TOs. It's a sad year for being a tekken tournament organizer. It's so empty and at least for now silent. Seems like we lost the magic we used to have.

It looks to me that this iteration of Tekken has cultivated and rewarded lazy gameplay so much that people have started complaining when the game stops spoon feeding them all the answers. It's time to wake up and actually play the game guys.

Tekken 8 being almost absolute dogshit for its entire existence has actually worked wonders for me on a personal note. From 90kg to (as of now) 76kg is something I couldn't imagine to achieve. So thank you Tekken 8 😅

I'll just end it on this, Namco doesn't deserve it's community, from all the commentators, content creators, pro players, tournament organizers and more, the community hard carried T7 through it's low points and helped them to where they are now So ggs if this is what we get

Would have loved to get my mindset back into competing but when I tell you tekken has lost its identity to me I don’t think you can say I’m exaggerating anymore, tekken 8 specifically has taken people to heights they probably never thought they’d be able to reach, has allowed for so many new people to gain a voice and a hold on the community, besides all that, one thing we can agree on is that it’s brought the worst out of everyone in the eyes of the developers and anyone affiliated with the title tekken 8, even amidst all the negativity and pain post season 2 they still find a way to take things away from the community it’s actually astonishing, it’s a consistent downward spiral that eventually will impact those that started finding success in the title whether through competing, content creation or coaching, with how it is currently there’s nothing I look forward to when competing and that’s the reality at the moment I hope tekken changes in a way I can get behind but until then I can’t get behind this game

@Snuredrams I think is already struggling right now, ss1+2 I think will not be touched even with the May patch, because they don't have any directions with him, just transform him into another character with big moves mixup. No one likes that

@TKRogerMaxis Yuuuuup. Once ss1+2 gets nerfed he’s going g to struggle along with the combo damage nerf. He’s already struggling to win rounds before going to time out.

Shaheen is such in a weird spot when it comes to balance. Ss1+2 is one of the most egregious new moves in S2 but the nerfs on what made Shaheen "Shaheen" (slide, punishment and poking dmg, df3 being - 13 for no reason) just robbed him of the depth that he had. It sucks honestly.

@hotlik3fiya Guardbreak is the only good nerf they did, other ones are just puzzling.

@TKRogerMaxis Yah he doesn't feel like the same character. There is almost no point to slide with the addition of d1 (he didn't need this). The balance direction doesn't make sense. I do however like that they are forcing you to be more creative to get Gaurd Break

@DeeTheCastle Nerfing the fundamental base of what make Shaheen interesting in my opinion is utter bullshit, the devs are pushing to use Shaheen as a big move character. It isn't him anymore, and I hate it tbh.

@DeeTheCastle The guardbreak loops are still there technically thanks to 23,but there is more counterplay, which is exactly how it is supposed to be. Slide vortex was almost game breaking coz of flipover, now to do a vortex you have to commit, which is also great. It's the dmg nerf the problem

@uncleben97 Like, Claudio ws3, why nerf? No one was using that move, why making it - 12?

@TKRogerMaxis Now his homing his bad , f+4 can be ss duck by opponent. So I have to dash realign , while other people can just press and let the move do their job haha

@uncleben97 They swapped properties of the homing moves for no reason, they were perfectly fine and no one asked for changes. It underlines a major problem that was present also in T7, they don't understand how to buff or nerf characters.

@sotngames Ss1+2 makes Shaheen broken by default, but don't forget about 124 being a 10f and SNK df13 opening new mixup situation. But with the poking and slide nerf and the recent patch, i feel it doesn't gel with the system right now, making him feel weaker.

@TKRogerMaxis ss1+2 is the only thing making the character useable right now if they touch that too its over shaheen is in the trash.

@PremiumR98 @DeeTheCastle If we talk about vanilla S1 Shaheen, yeah hahahahahhahaha, but it was nerfed and Shaheen was a top 10 contender for most of S1, but remaining with a distinct identity. Now with this change, he completely lost the edge that he has

@DeeTheCastle S1 Shaheen had many problems, I part toned down (slide vortex), but guardbreak was the main offender. The nerf to it and b3+4 were legit, but other nerf (and buffs) are inexplicable.

@TKRogerMaxis Launch Shaheen legit felt like carefully designed character with how moves flow from one to another. Season 2 Shaheen is made from spare parts and he is just functional

@uncleben97 Df3 is nonsense to me, he lost his best space control move, now he has only f3, but it isn't enough because it can be stepped easily. F23 is another overnerf by devs, it's right to tone down guardbreak, but now f23 is one of the worst 12f punishers in the game.

@TKRogerMaxis There are many things that i don’t understand devs brain. D/F+3 - Jun and Leo have better version and safe ? F+2,3 - while guard break char like kuma have f+2,1 wall splat , why shaheen can’t ? For me these 2 are my most questionable. Other nerf is just … fine , but it’s bad
