@EgotasticFT The Orville has such an unapologetically optimistic feel and a rapturous joy for space travel that Star Trek hasn't matched, IMO, not even classic Trek. You can really feel that in the intro(s). When an episode started, I was begging for the intro to start.

@EgotasticFT I think Seth should personally announce season 4. Make it special, like how the new Stargate show was announced. Really thank the fans for their patience. They honestly deserve it.

@blaufman @SethMacFarlane It was supposed to be an episode in season 3 but was scrapped due to pandemic restrictions, so it may very well be in season 4. We'll have to wait and see!

I'm just completing another rewatch of #TheOrville - an amazing show that just got better and better. Great story telling with a wicked twist of humour. @SethMacFarlane did an outstanding job on this show - it certainly deserved more than 3 seasons.

@TheCWThe100 @yandhiisntreal Just a few days ago, Seth said season 4 of The Orville is already written. The problem is fitting it into his schedule. So it really feels like its return is inevitable; it's hard to believe 10 fully written scripts would go unfilmed.

@CN_Edwards Just a few days ago, Seth MacFarlane himself revealed that season 4 is written, which is huge. The only problem is fitting it into his schedule. So I'm not celebrating just yet, but it's hard to believe an entire scripted season won't get made. 10 scripts.

@BryanRoxxa11451 I tell myself that until Seth himself says that, there's still hope, and he said there will be more. But no idea when. Perhaps after he's done with some of his current projects. He has a series coming out next month, and I'm waiting to see if something happens soon after that.

@EgotasticFT This is gonna be a long February. Just want to get to March so Ted season 2 can release and then see if something happens with The Orville. And if not, Seth might make a new comment while promoting Ted. He did last time, but he would likely have to be asked first.

@ButtonsNSticks I know Picard season 3 is widely loved, but I personally hate it. It's so dark and gritty, hardly anything like TNG. It is definitely closest to the Trek I know, but I still dreaded watching it, sadly. LOVE the end credits sequence, though. Beautifully done.

@stonygirl @TheDemonClown Absolutely, it gives me hope as well. And I'm pretty sure he was referring to the show itself when he said that. Note his gesturing, like he's saying, "Yep, it's happening. But you have to be patient."

@TKoshansky6257 @TheDemonClown That technically came out earlier as an ebook. The rumor is that it is renewed. It will not be shot on the Fox lot because Fox and Disney aren't married anymore, so they are waiting on studio space on the Disney lot. The rumor has not been verified, but it gives me hope.
