Phew, finally. I made a whole ass model in one day. I just need to rig and get ready for shapekeys and some cool clothes for them to wear and they are all done.

I think people should understand the importance about supporting indie animation is that it can be encouraging for the next creator instead of scaring them off.
If a show is created with no malicious intent, but simply “cringy”, it shouldn’t be called shit.
Unless if it’s actually problematic, I think people can really do better at showing their support.
You’re allowed to criticize and dislike something, but current indie viewers most of the time write criticisms with malicious intentions and it’s very very obvious.

I dont care how “bad” or “cringe” an indie animation can be, I want animation to succeed. I want to see more projects exist. More animation will always be a good thing. Fund and support artists, I don’t really care if its perfect or not.

@Johnbaker2after I first was terrified of them as a kid but as i grew up the more i realized all insects and arachnids are simple genetic programming like natural robots. It just took some research and then moving past my fear of touching them. Now i want a real Tarantula as a pet.

Last night i witnessed a Triangulate Cobweb Spider stuck in my bathtub so i helped it out and had them crawl on my hands and arms. they used their webbing to drop off and i put them into a corner of my room. I then found out they are harmless to humans. *not my picture*

@Dlukwi56 You'd need a low-light and low audio frequency zone. Plus, enough echo for them to see. I think living in a zone where bats can thrive would be counter intuitive to our human physical make up due to the habitation difference. Though it would be sick to be able to.

I also found out they can fight off Brown Recluse Spiders, which is great cuz those ones are more aggressive and dangerous to humans.

They kept noticing my hand and then would react with urgency to escape out the tub but i held my hands there in case they fell. They almost made it out on his own but fell on my hand, so i just carry them out. They kept curling up into a ball so i edged them on to move.

Found a model and rigged it myself! I took the time to animate on Constant interpolation so i can mimic frame by frame animation. Turned out pretty good! Oh yeah i designed the shader myself too, I can drop a screenshot on how it works in a later post.

@Kaizen_3D I like making characters that look appealing to me, and if it gets someone to want to crank it to the image i consider that a bonus.

Hot take incoming (not really), artists enjoy making characters that look cute or hot. The intention is not always "goonerbait" or "tHe MAle gAzE", it's just artists making art they enjoy making.
I'm sorry but creating attractive characters is just more enjoyable. Sometimes artists just wanna make a character look cute, hot, or cool because it’s fun. That’s it, it ain't that deep.

People are talking about the male-gaze-iness of Gameoverse and yeah I have to agree. It's not "goonerbait" and I liked the pilot but it objectively IS male-gazey. Which isn't inherently bad, but I did kinda roll my eyes at parts like this. Like why was Fold also never tied up lol
