This is a box of sadness. I never wanted to own a dog. I was always afraid of the idea of having to deal with a pet dying, so I vowed to never have a dog. Too much emotional work. As many of you know, this fear was realized a couple of weeks ago. 1/ 🧵

Phew - got out after tricky start when I spooked #sophiefromromania by fouling up putting her new harness on. She backed away when I offered the old harness but when I opened the front door she decided she did fancy it, even on a filthy morning
