@SamQuinnCBS For more than a year prior to the deal Masai was regularly ridiculed in the press for overvaluing Siakam and Anunoby, holding out for a star player haul for each. His gamble that teams would recognize their value failed and he took what he could get before free agency.
English

It was obviously a great trade for the Knicks, but more than anything I'll remember that trade as a colossal Masai miss. It was a bit like Caruso-Giddey in that it relied on an outlier evaluation of the young incoming players and inexplicably included no picks.
Austin Robert@Rowbear32
The OG trade has gotten lost in the shuffle and doesn’t get the respect it deserves in the all-time bad trades in NBA history. Turning down 4 FRPs from the Grizzlies or just keeping a great player and instead trading him for IQ and Barrett 🤪
English

@BenningtonShow Earl was correct when he initially called out the fact that Jason Isbell wasn’t on that list. It’s like leaving Ohtani off a best baseball players list. I’m less convinced by his Billy Joel argument. @GailAaann
English

@WalderSports He’d be the perfect candidate to go in an expansion draft if there was one. Worth a flyer for a new team and clearly not someone Toronto would protect at this point.
English

@C2_Cooper Barnes, CMB, Shead and Walter is a tough group to throw at any collection of wings or guards
English

Defending above their checks and shrinking the floor vertically has continued to flummox this offense. The Raptors can pounce strong-side w/o peeling because the closeouts are shorter than if they were sinking in.
Just keep ambushing Mitchell/Harden.
Caitlin Cooper@C2_Cooper
Intriguing defensive stance: Toronto's positioning helping from the strong-side corner has been akin to Miami's forward bumps out of zone. - Very high in the gap - Mirror chest to ball - Lead w/ outside foot - Push back off into passing lane, no peel CLE's struggled to read it.
English

@WalderSports I’ve been to two Raptors playoff games. Kawhi and this. I feel like I should get comped going forward…
English

@PensareBBall The fact that they got Shead AND Davion Mitchell for the shitty McDaniels brother is an under-appreciated terrible Sacramento move. It’s hard to keep track of all their moves but this one was very Kings-ish
English

@ryenarussillo I’m watching with no sound so I may be missing context but I’m baffled by how quickly they gave up on their starters in a game 6
English

@Smurficus_ @KevinOConnor Atlanta was the hottest team in the league heading into the playoffs. I’m pretty confident the Knicks would’ve handled Toronto decisively. I also don’t think this series is over, if Toronto can be somewhat healthy tomorrow they can push to game 7 and then who knows?
English

@TOCam29 @KevinOConnor Whats the barely making it out the first round stuff about? The entire east is going at least 6. You think Philly is well aware they aren't a contender? You think Atlanta is well aware? Knicks spent a ton of assets for their roster, are they barely making it out?
English

The Cavs turned out not ready for Cancun
Kevin O'Connor@KevinOConnor
Cavs look ready for Cancun
English

@Smurficus_ @KevinOConnor I’m going to guess that barely making it out of the first round against the Raptors will be pretty disappointing for the highest salaried team in the league, who happen to be all in. We in Toronto are well aware that the Raptors aren’t a serious contender this year.
English

@william_lou Yeah I love this team but they can’t make up for a compromised Scottie and no BI
English

@JustEsBaraheni Scottie’s injury looked to me like a knee-on-knee, I think with Allen. Is that what you saw?
English

@JustEsBaraheni Can’t say enough about CMB on the offensive glass when things looked bad midway through the fourth. He saved the season by keeping them in it.
English

@Malvolio421 @JonKatz79 So somehow your teens are spanning the entirety of the 80’s and then you’re in college in the 90s? Sounds great.
English

@JonKatz79 I beg to differ. Prime GenX leading the way.
70's kid - Old Dump Trucks and Charlies Angels
80's Teens - MTV and John Hughes
90's College - Grunge and Lalapalooza!
